DUMC never say anything about serving each other. To them serving, is giving your time to the church !

Serving is humility is about receiving God's grace and kindness and then giving to everyone, your family, your friends, your colleagues NOT just your church NOT just your community.

The trouble with DUMC is, they make going to church feel like going to work ! They never teach the congregation to be kind and serve one another. For this very reason, there is prevailing selfishness and politics in the church. People there don't care about each other. People have weddings, they invite their own cg members, no one turn up ! Is this called fellowship and serving? When you forget your own brothers and sisters, how are you to remember the needy people out there? How is DUMC going to be a community church to the helpless people when we can't even be a community to each other? This has been negligently overlooked by the church because they are so in desperation need for church workers, that they forgot to train us up in the grounding of the word, in our growth, in our kindness to each other.

If DUMC is so bad, why not you attend another church instead of bragging about them not being rights?  Or, may be you could talk to pastor Daniel Ho?

For once if you are not satisfied with DUMC don't rant about it here, go complaint about it officially to methodist hq or talk to the senior pastor directly or bishop rev. hwa yung himself. Intead of ranting why don't you pause and think why am i'm not satisfied with this church? and as Shioks recommended try another church

That's why when I know I am a sinner, I do not expect perfection from my fellow brother and sister. But I do expect the leadership to do something about that. Yeah I have been speaking up, but I been sidelined like the way DUMNO is sidelining Hyddin.

I been questioning the system of multiplication at church. They just see 10 people, when only 5 turn up every cg, they go and multiply the cell. I dunno whats the logic. They do it so extreme, that they now call cell groups - small groups. This destroys the whole fellowship ! I used to attend a cg with attendance of 4 people. Thats why I feel so lost at a church of 3000. I go to sunday sermon, I don't know anybody.

I brought up the issue, but only to be boikot. If got birthday wishes, my birthday was missed out in the watsapp group. Then my water baptism, nobody at my cg turn up !

I tried to get involve in ministry, only to be disillusioned. I did so many projects at church, gave so much time but only to be disrespected and treated like nobody. Then it dawn on me, church was saying that they wanted people to be more comfortable to share and connected to the cell group. That's why they multiply until the cg is so small. And it was also the excuse that they wanted to groom new leaders. THey wanted more cell group leaders.

It was all a scheme all along ! They want to force us all to get involve in church ministries, that's why they made the cell group into small commando groups and bring up so many cg leaders - even though half of them don't qualify.

Not happy then mah go lor.

Any church that grow big tends to have issues. 

One will feel lost also if you are not a cell group member.

You say lah, but after 10 years you will be burn out I assure you. You wait and see la. If you dun do anything about ur life n overserve, u will be single for quite long.

Move to where? No where to move. I don't want to be accuse of being a church hopper.

In the years to come, Europe is going to regret for having admitting those refugees.

I really don't know, reality has it, she'll probably be so totally devastated, she won't know what to do anymore.

People like her need extreme care from someone other than herself, like close relative or friends, especially Christians who knows her ......to pray that her spirit would take courage to come to God personally in solace seeking wisdom and peace and perhaps the Faith to believe that God can heal, if that is God's will for her to believe in this crucial moment.

I am contemplating another church but not sure yet because I have my own private reasons.

Aiyoh, I am saying the cg register got 10 people, but only 5 are active, and then like this also DUMC want to multiply. Then end up the cg got 2 then the other got 3.

That;s what the church is doing, they are telling us to focus on God, when we say someone is not doing things right. For eg, an up and coming assistant cg leader girl, was childlish and not ready to take over the cg. But due to politics and desperation for multiplication, the church decided to promote her based on her popularity. Duh. She bullied the host, when the host tried to organize activities for the members. The host is a mid 30s auntie - not marry. But the assistant leader is 25 yr old with a insecure boyfriend. Any guy who got too close to her and befriended her, the bf got a gang at the cg, will play some wierd boikot games one. Because this host auntie was playing trying to organize separate activities, she apparently like some single guys at the cg. Not being be defeated, the assistant leader also organize same activities that clash with the host. End up, the host lost, the single guys all went to the side of the assistant leader. The host got so pissed and incensed that she abandoned the cg, tell the cg to packup within one week. End up cg had to meet up at kopitiam.

Then another 6 members of the cg left because of frustration. The cg only got 9 active members remaining, and 9 more inactive members. Guess what? Church decided to multiply ! Ridiculous.

When ask church to defer because assistant leader not ready, they say - look to God, we are imperfect sinners. What the heck???
