Lego 40201 is RM 39.90. There's a lot of stock at the LCS Curve as well.

People are already selling the 40120 for RM75-85 out there now. I'm getting tired of how LEGO operates in this country. Only here we have to line up, book and beg to get the LEGO sets we want when it retails in shops. |

It's so easy to get those exclusive sets. |

QUOTE(blackamikaze @ Feb 2 2016, 10:14 AM) You can say that. As long as we don't buy from scalper, they have no choice to get back their money for next round of scalping when new stock arrive. Break the cycle and be patience. Lego come out with new sets every 6 months. If it means we can't get the sets we want for than particular period, then we have money for next release. Try not to look back (I know is hard, that's what cause the retired unit to increase in price |

Try not to look back (I know is hard, that's what cause the retired unit to increase in price That's pretty much what I'm doing now. No longer chasing the previous releases (prices are too high). Just concentrate on the newer ones, unfortunately those are also an issue because LCS are releasing 10 sets on release, and then it takes forever to restock. Checked with San Diego Lego Store and they have 50 Ghostbusters Firehouse just sitting there. And they've had a constant supply of 40-50 units sitting there since release.Scalpers charge RM200-300 the next day after they collect it and you either buy it for the ridiculous prices or hope you can find it from wherever else. |

Lego can easily solve this problem by pumping in tons of rare sets....Scalpers charge RM200-300 the next day after they collect it and you either buy it for the ridiculous prices or hope you can find it from wherever else. |

I believe the company is trying to set up online sale as other countries, they will start loyalty program first (vip). this should be a solution to stop scalping opportunity, and fair game for most collectors regardless availability in lcs. just wait... |

We can choose not to buy from scalper but others may still buy, hence they still have their market. Supply and demand. But I could see Shell Lego now selling RM15 also no one is interested.Scalpers charge RM200-300 the next day after they collect it and you either buy it for the ridiculous prices or hope you can find it from wherever else. Perhaps we should JV and open LCS V2? Revamp the model and create a more efficient market. |

Lego can easily solve this problem by pumping in tons of rare sets.... i dont agree.lego, is meant for kids to play. NOT FOR ADULTS primarily. and the company is trying hard to get more outputs and products for kids. that is the reason why there are still plenty of city, ninjago, friends etc around. modulars and exclusive sets, are just a very proportion. it will definitely turn ugly if the company diverted the initial goal and comply to adults' greed. market will fill with tons of misb lego, and bubble will burst. yet another early 2000's lego story... stop the greed. buy lego to play, and mainly for kids. this is what it should be. after all, it is just a 'costly' plastic... (but i like) |
