based on what i read, this problem never happen until the lego shell promo, is it true?

You can say that. As long as we don't buy from scalper, they have no choice to get back their money for next round of scalping when new stock arrive. Break the cycle and be patience. Lego come out with new sets every 6 months. If it means we can't get the sets we want for than particular period, then we have money for next release. Try not to look back (I know is hard, that's what cause the retired unit to increase in price sweat.gif)

Guys, do you think a lego box will survive an airplane check-in luggage on its' own?

In Japan now & eye'ing crawler crane + arocs (~rm850 each), but as I wasn't pre-planning to buy, I don't have luggage space for it.

Thinking just buy them and ask the shop to wrap paper then check in ... but ... scared the boxes will disintegrate in-flight lol.

Ask for the Lego box and put in it, then wrap again when you reach airport. Poor handling only happen on Malaysia, japan airport ground handling should be quite good. Some ding and dent sure got one lol.

btw, both will probably take up 6kg+ of your cargo weight.

I think maybe 1-2 boxes only, Corner Deli got more than 10sets, the staff even recommended me to take while I waiting my friend to reply whether he wants it or not.

Meanwhile, finally found this.

Plastic is mainly made from petroleum. Now is the best time for Lego to make money.

Looking at current situation, I'm worried if can get Resistance X-Wing (Blue/Grey) sets when released here or not. Think will kena sapu as well.

Hoping can get 2 sets, need at least 1 set.

Also, not supposed to mention KO bricks here. But I just saw/heard that DECOOL is making a UCS Tumbler!  vmad.gif

Hopefully this KO set will cold-off the market and ridiculous pricing of the just-retired tumbler. I'm not a fan of Marvel/DC set, from a non-collector pov (mainly into technic, some creator sets), I was once tempted to get this after watching video review sweat.gif But with that price, I can get a bigger bad-ass technic set.

Strictly speaking probably only real collectors will go after this. TBH this KO set might just put enough pressure to scalpers to sell at more reasonable price tongue.gif Not a bad thing.
