The collectible market keeps Lego popular and running. The adult fans are the crazy ones buying the big sets and I can understand that to a point, but the way LEGO is running locally is a big problem. Exclusive sets are limited in number compared to the other countries that have majority of the stock.

Scalpers aside, there's got to be a way for legitimate builders to get access to the sets without having to pay RM200-300 extra (on top of the RM200-400 you paid for the currency mess).

Sure, people are still buying from the scalpers so they're never going to go away but I'm just ranting because I'm getting annoyed I can't get a set released a few weeks ago because they bring in 10 per shop and never restock again (for example).

Why the hell should I go to Singapore, or to Legoland only just for a chance to find something which should be available in every damn Lego store around? It's not retired, it's not limited in any way, it should be widely available. Could be that LCS itself is playing some game here, keeping sets in the store while only selling a few. Who knows?

All my Lego haul from SG 2 days ago. Wanted to buy more but no space all of these is already too heavy plus takut kena tax (which I wasn't)

Verdict: if you know where to go and use members benefits, the price is way way cheaper than Malaysia but not all set lah most of them plus they have abundance of stocks
