The problem is, it's not retired. It's just been hoarded locally.

And those who are unable to wake up at 3 am to queue are unable to get the ones that we want, end up having to hunt and pay higher.

i wonder why all the hot Legos being sold out in Malaysia while others still selling and cheaper than us? are Malaysian Lego fans more than the rest of the world and we are being taken for a ride buying Lego which are more expensive than others?

I called up LCS the curve around 3+ BatCave still available. Went there around 5.15pm all gone.
Then rush to bangsar village hasta la vista they are in the midst of unpacking. Saw one uncle already paying for 4 boxes. Another took 2 boxes, 1 box and so on. During my 1 hour there at least 12 boxes sold. I quickly got 1 for myself + a Corner Deli. At that time I used the motto 'buy first regret later'.
The first 4 figures Lego I ever bought I got hunch this will not be the last of it.

buying 4 sets of BatCave in one go...?
that's some serious rich uncle

Yes you read me right, at one go + some other Lego till needed a trolley to help him push it out.
I realised LCS has a policy doesn't give away the empty carton boxes. Why?

in term of currency exchange rate we already lost. isn't Lego price is globalize, why ours are more expensive after conversion compare with other countries? who decide the price factor here, Lego International or our own Lego Store? Malaysian always at the losing end, sigh.

Most of you say you're giving up the hobby? I'm just going to buy from the US whenever I go there and stay selective like I've been so far. whistling.gif

Many of us are not lucky as you often go to US and easily buy what ever you need with a standard Lego price. I understand our Lego price was controlled by this ALJ cartel. We were being scalped left right and center. I do wanted to boycott buying Lego in Malaysia and enlisted one of my friend in Australia to buy it over there and ship it back. when i check the Australia shipping it was killing me with all those big and heavy set. So my initial plan crushed. Any idea what is the cheapest way to ship it back here? Thanks
I got friend in Singapore too last i checked for the Scooby-Doo sets it were not much different from here after conversion. So no point buying over there.

i wanted to make a trip to LLM too but i'm worry all the way down no stock wasting petrol, toll and time which easily cost rm100+. did you place order there or just bump in to check? any rare / hot items there for sell? what time you reach the BIG shop? i heard everyday only allocate few boxes for sell is it true?

Modular hand carry, the rest i put inside luggage, bought a new medium luggage since its cheap there and stuff the rest of Lego inside. Took flight to entitle for GST refund. Some modular sets is available off the shelves too,

How did manage to carry it by hand? Won't it damage the box?
