These listed companies win the bid for LSS4 project

Finally, after months waiting, LSS4 bid winners has finally been announced.

* Advancecon Holdings Bhd via Advancecon Solar Sdn Bhd at 26MW
* Three bids by Solarvest Holdings Bhd via Atlantic Blue Sdn Bhd totalling 50MW
* MK Land Holdings Bhd via MK Land Resources Sdn Bhd at 10.95MW
* Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd through a consortium involving Tan Chong Motor Assemblies Sdn Bhd at 20MW
* JAKS Resources Bhd via JAKS Solar Power Sdn Bhd at 50MW
* Kumpulan Powernet Bhd with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Pahang at 50MW
* Ranhill Utilities Bhd at 50MW
* Gopeng Bhd at 50MW
* Tenaga Nasional Bhd via TNB Renewables Sdn Bhd at 50MW, and
* Uzma Bhd via Uzma Environergy Sdn Bhd at 50MW.

The notable company missing from this list is Samaiden and Cypark, so next Monday will probably not be a good day for these two stock.

Spmx has several things not going right for it:

1. US plant investment has since gone cold, no news whatsoever when expectation was they will get something from the DPA procurement plans.
2. boss went to buy condo in florida; british architect engaged for new HQ in meru.
3. miserable dividend.
4. no SBB, no directors support - only natural that shareholders feel disillusioned.

i will see what happens by next QR - results, dividend, guidance.

in contrast, TG has a few good things going:

1. great dividend declared.
2. directors and EPF buying shares.
3. CBP ban may be be lifted anytime now.
4. HKEX listing - while some may view it as negative, we shall see how it performs as china's intco is also doing dual listing there - maybe strong interest for both.

i also see HARTA as a strong long term holding glove counter.
kossan has been a top loser; 2nd liners, i hv no interest.

I'm still having paper loss with Mah Sing.


Then why property stocks rise in tandem? Syndicate pushing?

Likely pump and dump operation.

I will feel very disappointed if TG price can't even reach RM6 by the day before its ex date 23-Mar. Anyway, will still hold on for TG and at the same time jia you for Spmx too as both price are too low to ignore now...

TG price won't incr much until CBP lifted.

and RSS shorts start covering - 228mil shares worth rm1.3bil - the largest short in the entire history of bursa, i believe.

Any idea if their short is in the money?

should be, very much so.

my records show total shorted was 292.6 mil shares, avg 5.75.

but net is now 227.8mil, i.e. 64.8mil has been covered, but i do not know at what price.

the more retailers lose heart and sell, the longer shortie can hold to more profit.

I.b insight Vs retailers gut feeling/sentiment.

Solar farm could take up to 2 years to commission, to see positive cash flow. Very often licence like lss4 is resold. 50mw at RM 0.20/kwh rate, pay back is >5 years.
