I think the brokeout on 8th June was due to MCO rumours (slightly affecting FA of recoveries) and short selling covering.

Since everyone talking about bitcoin, the major risk for it is due to its digital background. Anything that has no natural element to it run the risk of the structure failing and manipulated by human, such as currency. Eg a big hack into an exchange, an exploit in its network, a leapfrog in encryption technologies and it goes all up in flame unless there is global government and institutional backing.

What to stop sycamore from breaking its encryption within this decade and it quickly loses its value again ?

My best guess is each country will issues their own digital coin in future and tied it to a natural resources, eg iron, gold, land
