But you know, like fengshui...Chart will tell you one thing in TA, but any course of event in time can change it.

Be it in FA, TA or Trend Follower. This time around, the trend follower have been saying its downtrending. Yes. it is true, but you see the change of event eventuates to a breakout. All you listed prior have thick for uptrend, BUT....

trend follower will wait for certainty.

One camp or the other maybe have the answer. Back-test, Front test Side test, all positive...what else to do? so goes the wait for signal.

Anyway what I had described earlier ... the descending triangle breakout (reversal) could be better explained much simpler.

It's just a simple trading setup.

Anyway.... basically this setup is breakout from a declining trend line.

The line in the sand .... the declining trend line .... it's easily visible no?

The breakout is indicated by that red arrow.... which ... cough ... cough... happened precisely when you demanded the CHART... hehehehe...

At that time, price was what? 6.05? Basing on the what was happening, if I had wanted to trade this setup, that would have been my shot at the tiger. That's how I would have played it, and yes, it was so possible to be the early worm (around 5.60?) ......

I know you are not trend trader. But you know, listening to all camps or "expert call" maybe can lead to "light the beacon" and just ride along

I`m also using simple trading with only one thing, ruler. No fibo, No trench, No smart money dumb money indicator etc etc. Only Ruler + Noise.

The trade EP was low in this TG, as it was before covid-19.

My only concern now, How far up side. Meanwhile, enjoy goodies, like michael burry said, "Enjoy it while it lasts" and also how to make the pretty "bonsai tree" portfolio.

Fake trading or paper trade is just practice. A study. Take a pencil and jot down the imaginary trade on a 666 book. Say, yesterday, write buy TG. Price 6.05. Reason: breakout from declining trend line. blah, blah blah.......

it's more of a self discovery. Discovering yourself. Finding out what type of setup, type of trading suits you the best.

I still do this a lot.

One should not stop learning, yes?

How important is it to have your portfolio stay green at a given moment? There’s no shame to admitting to your losses in public man..in fact I find those who share their losses are armoured with good virtues like humility, courage and perseverance

IMO coming from fundamental investor POV, there has to be a time when your portfolio will be in red. When?

When you are “buying low”.

Because chances are you don’t know where is the rock bottom, you WILL end up catching a falling knife, either by will/ by circumstance. So there will be a time when your portfolio make you look the most foolish person on earth while waiting to reap your harvest harhaha..

If your portfolio is green ALL THE TIME, it may mean two things:
1.) you’ve not touched your holdings for many years they all have appreciated to multiples that don’t warrant often portfolio rebalancing, which is rare when emotions are involved.

Or....

2.) you chase high and buy only green counters. In this case your overall paper gain will be short-lived. Because whatever that goes up must....
