QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Feb 4 2021, 01:48 PM) You dont have to convert the warrants, BIMB will buy it back based on 5 days VWAP before price-fixing date. I think someone in the forum is saying that there will be a selldown soon by contra traders, better dont get in now?I dont know how reliable the contra selldown information is. But better to be safe that sorry, just queue at .265 (which limits your risk at 2% MAX). If today selldown, lucky lucky drop to .265, then you can celebrate. QUOTE(Momo33 @ Feb 4 2021, 01:49 PM) Provide some source that bolster your views please. Interested to listen more |

QUOTE(Momo33 @ Feb 4 2021, 02:00 PM) just my view after reading various reports ...all available just google . foreigners have been selling every week this year. only retailers are buying to speculate . QUOTE(Momo33 @ Feb 4 2021, 02:11 PM) These two I have to agree, thats why I avoid counters with high retailers participation for now. You see above the analysts' TP also people go and buy it up.QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Feb 4 2021, 02:07 PM) Huh? BIMB has to buyback all warrants? Is it? Did I interpret it wrongly?I read the pdf only mention WA out of money and considered no conversion is made since vwap 0.29 + 4.72 made it out of money. Warrants Consideration, which was originally proposed to be RM0.26 per Warrant via the First Announcement, has been revised such that the Warrants Consideration shall now be determined based on the five (5)-day VWAP of the Warrants immediately preceding the price-fixing date for the Warrants Consideration but shall in no event be lower than RM0.26 per Warrant. Warrant Consideration means the aggregate consideration payable by the Purchaser or the Company to the Warrantholders for all Warrant Units that constitute Purchased Securities, as set forth in the Total Equity Value Allocation Certificate and as adjusted pursuant to this Agreement. https://www.lawinsider.com/dictionary/warra...his%20Agreement. |

QUOTE(statikinetic @ Feb 5 2021, 08:05 PM) I don't think it will hit specifically next week. This has already been priced in over time, look at banking stocks movement between Dec '20 till today. It is a gradual slide downwards. What I think will happen is for banks to gradually deflate over time until a stimulus appears. Which does not look to be soon. Speaking of the devil, the stimulus just appeared - https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/bnm-...disaster-reliefContrary to most investors' thoughts, I think next QR for some banks (especially those that have preloaded a lot of the loan loss provision) will register a high QoQ increase. I am expecting that they cut down a lot of the loan loss provision for this upcoming QR. But we will see if I am right in another 3-4 weeks. |

Sector rotation ongoing, *I paste the article here because some might not able to see it - need subscription.*
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/202...-stock-rotation Broad-based funds bled cash. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (ticker SPY) lost roughly $11.8 billion in the fund’s biggest monthly drawdown in almost a year. Over $4 billion was pulled from the tech-heavy Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1 (ticker QQQ), the largest monthly outflow since 2014. By contrast, the iShares MSCI EAFE Value ETF (ticker EFV) lured $3.3 billion in January -- a record haul -- while the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (ticker XLF) attracted nearly $4.2 billion in its biggest monthly inflow since 2016. The divergence shows macroeconomic optimism abounds among stock traders. While megacap tech names were all the rage at the height of the pandemic last year as investors leaned into the stay-at-home economy, small cap and value shares are now looking like the more attractive bet amid optimism on further U.S. fiscal aid and an economic reopening as vaccine distribution picks up. “Investors are continuing to reallocate their portfolios to small caps and value within equities,” said Chris Zaccarelli, the chief investment officer at Independent Advisor Alliance. “As the economy continues to reopen and the virus’ impact on consumer behavior becomes less and less, those companies that have underperformed economically will revert to the mean or possibly outperform.” I personally think that value, small cap stocks will start doing better in the near future. Just hop in when the uptrend is here. This post has been edited by HereToLearn: Feb 5 2021, 10:42 PM |

Now, fundamental makes very little sense. Everyone is buying based on charts. Compared these 2 years with those years before pre-covid, now everyone is a chartist,
Eerily similar to the property bubble we had back then, which it has not fully deflated at this point, They bought just because in the past the price went up higher, even though the rental rate (in stock context, EPS) was decreasing, supply ramping up (increasing competition eating into the total market share) and pray that they could sell higher to the next buyer. |

QUOTE(statikinetic @ Feb 7 2021, 10:28 PM) We keep coming back to the impression that TNB is a solid stock. Declining eps, cannot be helped, the projected eps is expected to stay low as well for the next 2 yearsSo below is a graph of TNB if an investor has been DCA for the past 3 years for the dividends. I hope the dividends are massive enough to cover a 35% capital loss. ![]() |
