==> You'll Never Walk Alone <==

http://www.unbase.com/n/5853623009

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm there's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
For your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

Reporting in, with news on Suarez

Liverpool make contact to sign Mario Suarez, latest on Mario Balotelli

QUOTE
Liverpool are looking to sign a defensive midfielder in the January transfer window, and have registered an interest in Fiorentina’s Mario Suarez.

According to beINSports’ Tancredi Palmeri, Liverpool have contacted La Viola over a possible move for the former Atletico midfielder, however, it appears that the Reds are likely to face competition from Premier League club Watford for his services.

Fiorentina would be willing to sell the midfielder for around £6m.

The 28-year-old Spain international joined Fiorentina this summer on a deal that saw Stefan Savic moving in the opposite direction.

Suarez has failed to cement a regular starting berth under Paulo Sousa, and has managed only nine appearances for the Viola so far.

Liverpool, who are actively trying to secure a deal for the Brazilian midfielder Alex Teixeira, have yet to make any formal offer for Suarez.

Balotelli to return to Anfield in January?

Liverpool’s forward line has been depleted with injuries to Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Divock Origi. Christian Benteke has struggle to make an impact, forcing Jurgen Klopp to use Roberto Firmino, an attacking midfielder, in the false 9 role.

The Reds, however, may not need to sign a striker in January, as reports in Italy suggest that Italian striker Mario Balotelli could return to Anfield within the next few days.

Balotelli joined AC Milan in the summer on a season-long loan deal, however the Rossoneri might terminate his loan contract early, as they are reportedly unhappy with the striker’s recent performances.

The 25-year-old Italian wants to play under Klopp, and his agent Mino Raiola is trying to terminate his loan deal at Milan and take him to Anfield within the next week.

I personally don think lvg is a bad coach. He got tonnes of exp under his belt, at club lvl and also at international lvl.

I just dun like the way he speaks in English, if I'm a player I also feel demotivated by his slow slurry speech. Duh duh duh....no wonder Man U players r so lifeless.

Woy got tonnes of exp in Taman Cempaka leagues can't compare to lvg.

His best achievement was Fulham beating Juve in uefa cup knockout rounds, coming back from 0-3 aggregate or some story like that. Correct me if I'm Wrong.

I think we have finally found our savior after Gerrard left. The Welsh Pirlo aka the Welsh Xavi aka the Welsh God.

On the other hand, we should start to plan our life without Allen when he left this summer. cry.gif

I think we have finally found our savior after Gerrard left. The Welsh Pirlo aka the Welsh Xavi aka the Welsh God.

On the other hand, we should start to plan our life without Allen when he left this summer.  cry.gif

We cursed Allen when BR bought him same as the way we cursed Lucas when Rafa bought him earlier and today Allen become "Jesus" [ he did look like him now with his beard ] that put us into the FINAL

Btw, Balo also scored a vital Penalty to help his team won their respective Mickey Cup

‘This wonderful city has deserved it, of course. We are here since four months now, we can say the best about Liverpool. It's great to live here, it's great to live in the surroundings. It's great to meet people even when you meet Everton fans.

‘Maybe it's not OK if I say this but nobody was, until now, not friendly when they saw me. Maybe they like that I'm there because we don't have that much success but if we meet each other then it's for Liverpool a great final and for LFC very important.

‘But, having said [that] Man City or Everton, I don't care. We will win the cup.’

then again, best crosser also useless if no one can connect to it.
few seasons ago, downing was our best crosser whistling.gif
had the most crosses in that went unconverted...but then BR broke him.

in the current team, the one who has created the most chances is unfortunately still moreno...

dun say like that lar.... your claim dun have expiry date one anytime can claim.

as for moreno, yes, he created most of the chances but as you know he being scold by klopp for not tracking back for defense.

However, if you see klopp post game interview, he said stoke changed their strategy and LFC were caught off guarded with the strategy changed result of poor first half. They managed to cope with it in the second half result as we are more in control and attack, of coz stoke sitting back parking bus after equalized.

They bossing us in the first half, we couldn't find any connection before our front men with our midfielders. Stoke attacks were more dangerous than us from their counter as they got 2 real chances to net the goal before first half late min goal.

Second half we bossed them back but our final third macam tahi and also stoke parking bus hope for draw, ET and pk.

If he bang in a few more goals for the rest of season, he may be the "steal of the season" at £4 mil price tag.

How come a striker that almost every season got double digit goals record (even with QPR in EPL), was priced at £4 mil?

Soton seems like very good in doing business, sell Shaw, Lovren, Lallana took in more than £70 mil, now buy a double digit goals striker at £4mil?

I think Liv's priority in transfer market is to "buy" football director" of Soton. laugh.gif

cos like argued before with someone here who did not want another englishman... his price reflected his final season before going on free... and in championship somemore means qpr held for ransom of take 4m now or let him go for free in 6 months.

Austin is injury prone for the record. So, the price 4m for someone who is leaving on free at the end of season is understandably reasonable.

Watch the match last night. Not really our best performance, but we're so LUCKY. First half we play like shit, no threat or whatsoever at all. Second half start looks a bit better, probably because of the goal. Seriously, we need a world class midfield who can link up play with Firmino. Hope Sturidge and Cout will be back for the final.

Positive points for me from this morning's game :

- we won and are in a cup final!
- Flanagan played more than 90 minutes and is ok
- we have rather good penalty takers : particularly surprised by Lucas
- our goalkeeper is a confirmed penalty stopper
- we are still surviving on all four fronts

his injury record only states his last injury was in march 2011 for 3 months...due to LFC fav injury the hamstring.

Austin returned from an extended summer break with some niggling injuries, one of the reasons he was substituted five minutes from time during Rangers’ 2-0 defeat at The Valley last weekend.
He also has a long-term cartilage problem in one of his knees, which is likely to be highlighted when he has a medical at his next club.

Steve Bruce said Hull made a huge mistake when they when they pulled out of a deal to sign Charlie Austin in 2013.

Bruce had lined up a £4.5m move for the striker, then with Burnley, following the Tigers' promotion to the Premier League.

The move appeared to be well advanced, until a medical highlighted concerns over a knee issue.

QUOTE
Harry Redknapp today signed striker Charlie Austin for £4million and says he has no fears over the striker’s long-term knee injury.

The 24-year-old, who scored 45 goals in 90 appearances for Burnley, saw a move to Hull collapse last month after failing his medical.

Austin passed a medical at QPR this morning and Redknapp said: “He’s obviously got an issue with his knee but that’s why we were able to get him. It doesn’t affect him.

Just forget about the austin crap..even the player score thousand of goal for others doesnt mean he can repeat that here.,

If really want to solve the goal crisis, this teixera guy can be the man.. we are in borrowed time yet we acting like childish.. and if other team slap 38m to shakhtar then we look like an idiot,, and if that other team is chelsea then we look like double idiot

so ur statement can also apply to teixera.
what makes u think he can solve the goal crisis? hes completely unproven in EPL.
plus hes another no.10 in a long list of no.10's in our team...

damn BR was interested in managing MU...
"When you manage Liverpool you know the Manchester United job is gone," said Rodgers.

perhaps MU could overlook that minor technicality tongue.gif

pretty simple, we clearly need forward who can run behind and score.. austin is a poacher.. we should stay away from someone who just stay in the box in the hope of someone pass the ball exactly reaching their feet..

completely unproven in EPL.. it is completely misleading myth told by many people and have cause us more million on this... torres lit up the league since day of epl. so on with aguero,alexis,costa.. hecks even benteke did amazing in his 1st season here and why suddenly he become unreliable for us? proven or not mean nothing if we are buying a player that fit to the team gamplay and benteke never suit us since he signed contract with the club

yet no.10 no.1 or no.7 mean nothing if he can score... firmino outshine benteke every single minute everytime he played as a forward

Interesting some say why not Austin?

We already have a similar striker in Ings. We need one which fits the system we are going to play. That probably rules out Benteke. Not saying Tex is going to replace Benteke, but Lalana is also at risk as Tex plays in his position and much faster and a goal scorer which Lalana lacks in both aspects.

At this rate if Tex comes in, we are going to see Firminho keepin his place at the top with Sturridge out for the foreseeable future.

Kevin De Bruyne suffers a knee ligament injury which might rule him out until the end of the season. This might be a good news for us ahead of the final.

Liverpool vs City final.

Time for Sakho to chokeslam Sterling?

Aguero hat trick against our shit defense?

December 2015 (7 matches span over 28 days - average 4 days rest between games)

Wed - 2 Southampton

Sun - 6 Newcastle

Thu - 10 FC Sion

Sun - 13 West Brom

Sun - 20 Watford

Sat - 26 Leicester

Wed - 30 Sunderland

January 2016 (9 matches span over 28 days - average 3 days rest between games)

Sat - 2 West Ham

Tue - 5 Stoke City

Fri - 8 Exeter

Wed - 13 Arsenal

Sun - 17 Manchester United

Wed - 20 Exeter

Sat - 23 Norwich

Tue - 26 Stoke City

Sat - 30 West Ham

February 2016 (6 matches span over 26 days - average 4 days rest between games)

Tue - 2 Leicester

Sat - 6 Sunderland

Sun - 14 Aston Villa

Thu - 18 Augsburg

Thu - 25 Augsburg

Sun - 28 Capital One Cup Man City

March 2016

Wed - 2 Man City BPL

Sun - 6 Crystal Palace

With these obviously congested fixtures, I can see why players are starting to fatigue. And I predict injuries will start to kick in again before it gets better.

Which might explains why in certain matches our players look static as fck.

Now this begs a question, have we done enough during January transfer market to solve this issue? I know many might not agree to buy players in January just to have more depth (because more players will be available once the injury list is clear).

But we will be doomed once another wave of injuries come. Surely it is better to be prepared?

Thank god we managed to scrap through Exeter by playing youngsters though.

No thanks to our early season injuries which some are still on.

IMO for this season, Klopp is not going to fire fight and use a major part of his budget in this Jan window.
This season is for him to feel the league and gauge the players left by BR.
That the reason he is playing the juniors in the cup games.

My guess is anything higher than 6 is a bonus. Europa league qualification is the goal for next season.

Austin is more about short and temporarily solution suggested, especially the fixture is so congested, almost 3/4 day you see the team plays again one.

I don't think Tex is coming.
At £38 mil price tag, it may be too much risk to take.
I would rather to see the club save the money for the summer transfer window.

Short term can be mixed to form longer term solutions where possible. Tex is that possibility.
Yeah. At 38mil, no way.

Getting a another striker when we already 4 at the club is not really a good solution, short term or not.
So win the Cap one cup and qualify and then the objectives can be relaxed.

'It is a huge club. So many great players have passed through there. It would be an honour to defend the Liverpool shirt,' Teixeira told Anfield HQ.

'There has only been one offer, €32m (£24.5m), and Shakhtar rejected it. I know my agent is still attempting everything possible to help me get to Liverpool.

'The team received one official offer from Liverpool. It was rejected. I don't know why. It was a great offer. It is frustrating but the manager and the club president decided against it. So now I am just waiting and trying to be patient.'
I don't know. It's tough to answer that. I want to be there. It is up to the club president now. I can only hope. I don't know what else to say.

'I have played with Coutinho since we were 10 years old. It would be a lot of fun to play with him again.'

Only the bolded part is in Premier League. The rest is in Championship. Let's not forget how prolific Lambert is prior to joining us:

2009–10 League One 58 36goals
2010–11 League One 52 21goals
2011–12 Championship 48 31goals
2012–13 Premier League 38 15goals
2013–14 Premier League 39 14goals

My point is, Lambert was a "bargain" as well for
1. Being English
2. Only cost 5m
3. Brings goals.

But look what it happened?

Sometimes, the pressure of playing in big club is different and those Big Fish in Small pond thingy usually dont work well.

Reminds me of Charlie Adam, Andy Carrol and to certain extent ,Lallana and so on...

No point risking paying high wage for someone who is known to have injury problem during medical...

Doubt it.

Furthermore (if BR was still the helm)my guess LFC probably won't be searching talents outside England 😝 esp in the middle of the season.

Coincidentally I made such remark b4 and someone said "hey we got courtinho (non English) in January". 😏 🙄

Win this weekend against West Ham then add another match in February, which will be sandwiched by the Augsburg games. Draw against WH and the replay should be between Sunderland and Villa games. Congested fixture list is an understatement.

Many are saying Teixeira doesn't worth the price tag and better use the money on summer transfer.

How do you guys know if we have budget for January and summer seperately?

What if FSG have 40M for us to spend on January? And another 40M on summer?

Would you guys still want us to sign anyone in this window?

Or this is more of a question that our transfer committee have set the upper limit of Teixeira price tag to be 35M; anything higher than that is a no go.

At the moment we do not know anything regarding the budget. Spending big in January does not necessary mean lesser budget in summer. But recruiting the right profile of players now would boost our squad and might help us to secure more wins towards the end of the season which might result in cup wins (Capitol, FA, Europa) and higher finish in the league which would be fruitful and in the end will generate more income for us to spend in the summer.

To qualify for Europa League next season shouldn't be too difficult for us to achieve this season. But do we really need another run in EL that has been proven times and times again it is deteriorating to our tiny squad. We can't handle Thursday night-Sunday matches. Of course it is good to be involved in the Europe clubs competition but at the moment (for next season), I would rather we focus on the league only. We do not need that extra distraction. Either CL or no European tournament at all.

Anyway I hope we can win EL this season so we can qualify for CL next season.

Methinks the biggest issue now is GOALs. And then our star strike's availability. i think Sturridge is out indefinitely.
The rest of the team is more or less chugging along adequately.

Put in a fast goal getter, we would have changed the dynamics of our final third play. Presently, its just so pedestrian . Think Klopp is looking and weighing seriously at that.

It's such a sad state to see Klopp opt to put Caulker as forward to rescue us. Funny but really sad.

We LFC shouldn't have reached such situation. Putting defender as a striker. You would think it's a stroke of genius but the real issue lies deeper than that.

Really hope we can get a striker or forward in before the window closes in few days time but the possibility is really small at the moment.

We were linked with so many players, but yet to sign any, part from loaning of caulker and grujic whom still at his current club.
And it's a norm for championship clubs to loan players from premier division, but we did the other way round hmm.gif hmm.gif

Benteke size is abit weird and I don't know how do I explain it. He seems big size, but in fact he is not. And his head looks kinda small compare to his body. But from what I see when he played, he will drop down whenever having shoulder2shoulder or body2body challenge with opponents.

Yeah.

Did you noticed how many times how Benteke starts a run then halts and runs again? So slow

Also Lukaku makes much more runs behind the last defender whereas Bente likes to stay in the 20 yard area.

if you are strong and fast, you do not need much dribbling skill at all. just look how drogba and a young rooney brush aside defender with just pace and power alone. now my question, why did benteke fare so well in his aston villa time?

In aston villa, Ben doesn't need to hold the ball, he just run around at the box and hopping for the crosses to come. Where in our current setup, Ben need to involve in the build up and often time he didn't fast enough to get into the box area where he can do damage. You can notice he often time ended up at the wings. really doh.gif

Not as simple as you think. The current system leaves Benteke too isolated upfront and he himself is not mobile enough to free up some space for himself or his teammates. And the team also plays thru the middle quite often. If he can't hold up the ball long enough for the support cast to arrive then no point also

Benteke need to learn on how to have good link-up play, good first touch, good 1-2 pass, chip pass from Giroud.

I think Benteke will link up great with Sturiddge. Although Klopp would prefer playing 1 striker only.

Just watched Alessandria vs AC Milan highlights.

I am more convinced now that Balotelli > Benteke.

imo benteke has great positioning. he just aint the type to run unless really necessary. getting him to run around like suarez to create opportunities just messes with his usual type of game. heck it just tires him.
let the other striker do all the running and trust benteke to be there, ready to pounce n score the winner the way he normally does it.

dunno wat u toking man... his positioning is horrible imo. every time attack u will find him waiting at the far side, he's not fast enough to cut in so i dunno what he intends to do there

every time he receive ball his natural tendency is to one touch pass back. he never holds the ball and release other players. and talking about releasing other players, for a 32m player his passing is fkin horrible. almost as bad as carroll. the kind of half-assed push back and the angle is not even right. most importantly he does not take his chances, maybe lack of confidence i dunno

its just really frustrating envisioning yourself playing with benteke in your team.

Contrary to what some thought, we Liverpool only made one offer and not 3

No teixeira in January. At least not now.

Let's move on. Spending for the sake of spending isn't right when sometimes even after spending the coach/manager doesn't know how to play players to their strengths.

But I trust Klopp to work on things than previous manager

QUOTE
Jurgen Klopp is said to agree with Liverpool’s stance, with the German anxious about paying over the odds for the player.

This throws up a conundrum for supporters, who have seen the club make several costly transfer mistakes in recent seasons, with the £32.5 million signing of Christian Benteke veering towards this bracket.
We will scout harder for talents n Klopp n gang will unearth them.

It's for the best I think. €50m for a 26 year old who has only impressed in the Ukrainian league and not even a cap for Brazil is way too much.

If we don't pay the absurd asking fee we are labeled penny pinchers. If we overpay for a player's value we are labeled fools who repeatedly overpay for mediocre flops. We are in a no-win situation. What I do know is our major purchases (over £30m) almost never works out. It's time we get smart and be more wary instead of continuing to get extorted in the transfer market.

Absolutely right! He has a tendency to stand on the far side or linger just inside the box waiting for a cut back pass when we make it into the box via the wings. The position he takes up is poor in that there are usually many defenders standing between him and our crosser yet he never moves to free himself of markers or make himself visible for the imminent cross. I would expect a proper center forward to get right in the defense and keep moving to grab their attention, this would allow our other players to ghost into the box around him to provide options.

You are also absolutely right about his inability to hold the ball up despite his size. He has a body of a beast yet falls to the ground far too easily every time he tries to hold the ball at his feet while getting pressured by a defender from behind. Difference between him and Balotelli is Balotelli holds the ball for far too long trying to dribble himself out of a tight situation resulting in him being surrounded and fouled whereas Benteke seems too eager to pass the ball on too quickly and can't hold the ball to save his life.

well .. simple way is dont tell benteke to play on left or right side .. instead center like he did in villa. all the things u r saying .. passing, hold ball, release other players etc not his play style. that's so obvious if u watched villa games. sometimes i wonder why lp bought him and not play to his strengths.

the game vs norwich .. henderson only got to that position 1 time and he scored too. the rest of the game .. that position was vacant. nobody was positioned there at all ..or henderson forgot he was supposed to cover that spot every time our team attacked. if benteke was playing and playing in that area, that's where he is most deadly.

Totally agree.
Jan is not the best time for big money transfers.
Plus as you pointed out, the chap's not even had a single Brazilian cap!

come on la, benteke can run...just like how a fat kid can run after a ice cream truck...just whether he wants to or not...
afterall, if he couldnt run...he definitely would not have passed the medicals.

but benteke positioning is sometimes really wtf...sure he likes to play as a poacher...but most of the time he is too slow in a team full of potential energizer bunnies.
and klopp sometimes realises this so in essence LFC usually are playing with 10 men only as klopp just leaves benteke in the final 3rd doing nothing...then the whole team slows down...zzz.

Many have said better if we buy from players who have proven in English league but it has shown it was never the case.

Many seem to turn as one club wonders. Excellent for the previous club but turn disaster when join another club. We seem to always be a magnet for such, even management [cough] 😓

its called playing the percentages aka moneyball.
heck, dont even need to call it moneyball as every pro gambler also knows how to play the percentages.

a player in the english league has a better chance of continuining his form as hes already adapt to the culture, weather etc etc blah blah...and not just on the pitch.

of cos on the other side we have migs, benteke...

then we can never ever forget aspas...who was prolific in the spanish league before joining LFC... whistling.gif

Simply saying "why are we not playing to his strengths?" is a pathetic attempt to fault someone. It takes more than just tactics to 'play to his strengths'. Ask yourself this - how many proper wingers do we have in the team? who is capable of putting in effective crosses? Answer is none - maybe Milner at best. Just look at our offensive corners, what do we expect from our players in open play if we can't even put in a proper cross from a deadball situation.

The question should be "why did we buy him in the first place and at that price" and this question should be directed at BR and the TC.

These are the best that we have currently , so its okay to let them have the "superstar" status while we search/buy a true gem like Torres or Suarez .

Why no one want to buy Torres back ? Suarez might be beyond our reach with his current valuation.

This team if everyone fulfill their potential can easily worth more than 300m...all we need is a constant scorer

Any Milan Baros type of player out there for Sale ?

We need another Milan Baros since Suarez wont be joining us any time soon.

i rather just slog it out for rest of the season, since by next season we should be full strength again.
if anyone else comes in should ideally be on loan again... unless its a defender then only buy.

well, we can put it like this. Is the player wants to work hard enough to learn new skill to add on new weapon to his arsenal.

Exactly. It's far easier for 1 player adapting to 10 others instead of 10 others adapting to the 1 player.

If Sturridge even turns up for 1 international call up let alone on the bench for England despite missing 99.99 games under Klopp, he will be crucified.

I'm dead serious. Roy can be daft when he was with us but he isn't that stupid with Sturridge

Good? Watch him closely in future games. You can tell what he is gonna do every time. Cut in, looks, sees defender, keep cutting inwards, rinse and repeat until he loses the ball or back passes.

Stereotypical player with talent but no intelligence. I would say he is more naturally gifted than Sterling but his lack of intelligence emphasized by his lack of end products is what separates the two.

Want to see more of Smith, Brannagan and Ojo.

This about sums up what I think of Ibe. His dribbling skills and pace can actually open up some spaces here and there for other players, but because he is a brainless player he deos not have the timing and vision to create good passes. Often he over dribbles and the opportunity of giving it to someone open dissapears.

Rotation. kloopp is able to recognize the need (rotate players)

In the past we (many pundits or ex players) always criticize Rafa for rotating and should only play first 11 and not destabilize the team with rotation shite.

It's not a squad that Klopp built but he will get the team moving soon enough

Even Lewandowski has high praise for Klopp on how he can deal with players

QUOTE
Robert Lewandowski says Liverpool players are loving playing under Jurgen Klopp.

The Bayern Munich striker talking for Daily Mail said Klopp is like a father for players.

"He always stood up for his team and he’s a bit like a father for the players. Also, for the Liverpool fans, when they see they’ve got a coach who gives his all they’ll back him. Klopp is a very good coach. He suits English football." - said Lewandowski.

No problem. Play the "first team" in the league & cup final. Play the kids (+ Caulker & Ben) in the other cup games including the Europa.

Worth it to lose a couple of cup games so the boys can gain experience. Who knows a few might get into the first team next season.

This man has more heart than all of our current players combined. Not the most talented of player but how we would kill for someone like him right now. Even the likes of Pennant, Crouch and Benayoun are better than some players we have right now.

Barnaggan corner was poor, can't even beyond the near post first defender.
But Enrique one was even worst... sweat.gif nearly cost the team a goal with the freekick at dying mins.

The team lack someone who is good in delivering set piece, corner.
I cannot remember Liv scored goal from corner kick for long time already.

Real Madrid Winger Denis Cheryshev Poised for Liverpool Move

Position: Forward;
Height: 5'10" (1.79m);
Weight: 163 lbs (74 kg).
Age: 25;
DOB: December 26, 1990.

Madrid misfit Denis Cheryshev could be set to end his nightmare in the Spanish capital with a move to Liverpool, according to reports.

Radio station Cope claim the Russian is on his way to Anfield and will sign tomorrow (Monday), but reports are unclear whether it's a loan move or a permanent deal.

Cheryshev has played only 117 minutes of football this season and doesn't look to be a part of Zinedine Zidane's plans. (He is no galatico and I think Real Madrid won't play him)

Hmm get a feeling a Russian dirk kuyt??

Klopp speaking in his press conference
Not good news for transfer fans...
'I’m not sure what’s better for your job. So I can say maybe something happens or I can say the truth!
'No, you can finish work for the day. The outgoing side I’m not 100 percent sure.'
Does that mean I can go home, Jurgen?

Stoke have broken their transfer record to sign midfielder Giannelli Imbula from Porto for 18.3M pounds.

Damnit. That is one hell of a signing. Arguably the most significant signing in Europe in this window.

Hats off for Stoke's recent recruitment ambition. They really are an ambitious bunch nowadays when it comes to recruiting players.

Klopp: “It’s not that we haven’t got money but you have to work respectfully and responsibly. That’s what we do."

Klopp: "I have been here for four months and nothing has happened on transfers. I am fine with that and we can go on working.”

Klopp has defended Liverpool’s decision not to bolster their strikeforce as he told supporters: “Trust us.”

Klopp insists he fully supported the club’s decision not to pay over the odds for Alex Teixeira.

Klopp says he’s happy to wait until the summer to strengthen.

Klopp: “It was absolutely a common decision (on Teixeira)."

Doubt it. Chelseafc problems lies in the fact the presence of a towering back line wasn't there anymore and a striker whose mood swing, swings faster than a lady time of the month. It was evident the problems, should they miss CL spot next season. My guess the may find it harder to reinforce (just harder not impossible 😉)

Pep will go mCity & the they will probably reinforce more.

Next season will we see FSG & Klopp's Liverpools take wings

well but yeah.. costa is soo inconsistent but he is definitely 30goals striker.. if he can put his head down, he can achieve that figure again.. if they can find 1-2 player they can be a force again..
the problem with city is their over-reliance on aguero.. if he still stay next season then it's good news but still aguero always have random injuries that prevent him 2-3 games..
Arsenal may have a chance..

Finnan was good but glen johnson under rafa was able to nudge ahead mainly the ability to support the attack more.

The Talking point was missing daniel agger but having carragher there is understandable given that him being a local lad.

I would definitely put agger ahead to partner hypia given agger the classier centreback between him & carrager.

with the big boys splurging big over the years manager & signings. we tripped by going too 'Brit in first' policy.

it's ok should there be local lad coming out from the ranks but we had to indulge in Brit Manager where granted he Rodger had some eye catching flutters with swansea, He was just out of depth with Liverpool. Sorry i know the those boys are quick to point out season 2. But we all know season 2 reliant more of a wonder kid supported be an ageing legend.

anyway, you may be right about LVG. He probably won't be staying at MU. I not certain Jose Mourino will fit ManU though,

I would've Arbeloa instead. He is a good balance between defence and attack for me.

Carra also made sense in that his aggresive style better complements Hyypia's finesse style which is akin to Agger's.

I am happy that we didn't spend big just for the sake of spending this winter transfer. Alex Teixeira is good, but hell no to the club asking price.

Liverpool still in transiting period anyway, Klopp just took over in merely few months. Let him have some test and trial first until the summer then he will have a clearer picture on who to replace.

And it seems many players is expected to be return from injury as well, and some of the youngster looks promising enough to have a seat on the bench.

Just figure out the defence first. As I just saw one FB post stating there had been how many games that the opponent scored on their first shot on target, that's embarrassing. Strengthen the defence, take out Benteke, we are good to go at least until the season end.

Making excellent sense with your assessment but but knowing some Bboys might ask why the kid gloves treatment compared/versus the fans feeling antagonised over every little thing the manager he (klopp) replaced whistling.gif whistling.gif

And btw.

+1

he didn't called mr consistency for nothing. he might not have the pace but his crossing are one of the good one at that time, i dare say his crossing beat anyone in the current team. but personally the best rb i've seen would be markus babbel.

not really. both city/pelligrini and bayern/pep are sick and tired of the constant speculation.

the dislike between yaya and pep is mutual, doesn't matter if it is announced now or the end of the season, yaya was never gonna play for pep nor pep wants yaya playing in his team.

it's not like city fans have the best of relations with yaya in the first place after the bday cake debacle and the frequent disappearing act in midfield.

i wouldn't want a lazy yaya in our high pressing system.

season ticket prices:
LFC - £42
Next season - £70
Not sure if it's official yet

The discussion amongst the LFC fans in uk. I suppose all the massive Brit outlay failure in the past may have finally bit FSG back?? Or at least part of it.

While it won't impact us but my guess there will be many over there who will feel the pinch big time

To be fair if that is the goal that condemns us to a loss I'll take it. Not even mad. What a strike.

That said, numerous opportunity for us to create something in the final third and all it takes for Leicester is half a chance. Only ourselves to blame.

Thought we were extremely energetic. It was our constant pressing that gave us the over 60% possession despite the sloppy passing throughout from both sides. Problem is we are absolutely clueless in the final third. Blind crosses, blocked crosses, misplaced passes, running the ball into defenders, long shots, blocked shots...you name it...I don't recall us even creating a proper chance for a shot at goal.

Time and time again, I said goal conceded from the left side, and this morning, 2 goals conceded from left side again.
Moreno plenty of time out of position.
Offence only got pace, no clue on passing, shooting skill also poor.

The Vardy's first goal was world class volley, no GK can save it.
Second goal, courtesy of Sakho's poor 101 basic defending, never let the ball bounce and poor defending by Moreno.

Mig had 2 superb save on first half, if not easily loss 4-0.

Liv's verdict,
nobody has a shooting boot, and nobody can shoot or cross. sweat.gif

Only pass pass pass.

Yeah Pep isn't the answer for us, big spending clubs yes. He is up there, over the years he has made his reputation and he wants to continue there.

I like Klopp. Stop of saying he should have been here 3seasons ago and the splurge Liverpool spent, we would and definitely have been better than the current squad, admittedly very average. While they may have occasional highs but not enough to sustained a challenge for a spot for top 4.

Leicester city goals were fortunate for them. They took chances when it's only a small opening, and it went in. That's their strength, sit back and hit oppositions on the counter. And they seem to score every time.

It's unfortunate we suffer in a defeat against the current league leaders. They are there cause they are repeatedly doing it right over the season. Kudos to Claudio Ranieri & Leicester city

For those who don't understand the culture of Liverpool FC. It is modeled after the working class city of Liverpool, not after some snob London club or Sheik powered nonsense. If you are after success from ridiculous and obscene financial inputs, there are other clubs. Dortmund as i understand is very similar to Liverpool in it's working culture.

Can was dribbling like Messi down the left side into penalty box and at that time Leicester defender managed to tackle the ball away from Can and just two passes the ball is behind Mignolet's back .

This is the best reply. laugh.gif

I replayed it a few times, Lovren indeed stop for a sec there for the ball to drop down again, and that is when Vardy made the volley. doh.gif

He could at least attempted a block.
Worse thing that that could happen is Vardy ding the ball past him.
Instead he froze in time to admire Vardy's very good technique.

Moreno has been really poor the past month or so. I guess the lack of competition for the left back spot has made him lackluster.

The other major problem is of course scoring goals. As somebody has already pointed out..270 mins of football without a goal. That's pathetic.

Lovren was too far away from Vardy la..even if he went in for a challenge Vardy made up his mind to take the shot on already.

yeelong and mara had gaythering?

btw, blame lovren for wat?
if u look at the replay very very carefully...before the ball reached vardy...mignolet was already taking his own sweet time tracking back from the edge of the penalty box...
wonder why he didnt choose to go attack the ball instead...lovren also had no angle to block the shot...
but of cos credit to vardy for spotting mignolet for being way way off his line...

anyway leicester is like suarez-leading-lfc-to-2nd-and-not-br season.
also like that lfc season - no europe, early exit from league cup and fa cup.
my money is they will finish 2nd, then vardy will be sold to barca and ranieri will get sacked later on tongue.gif

Vardy & riyad mahnez are a revelation
The have speed and work very well on the counter
Will have to see if the can score as many when it's against crowded (bus park) teams.

Not many goalkeeper could save that shot, but perhaps mignolet positioning allowed or gave vardy the impetus to have the audacity to attempt that smallest opportune

Thought our midfield was worse. Even if Leicester didn't score we wouldn't have won because we can't create jackshit.

"I'm not too fine with our game today. We could have played much better. We had a few shots where we could pass and a few passes where we could shoot. We created half-chances but not real chances." - Klopp

This quote summed up the game for me. How Can is getting game time ahead of Allen is beyond me. Lucas, Moreno, Firmino, Hendo, Sakho were all shit.

Vardy: "Mignolet had been off his line a lot so when it came to me & I had no support, I hit it and took my chance"

Jamie Vardy scored a wonderful goal against Liverpool tonight and says he knew Simon Mignolet would be off his line for his first.

To be honest with you I was looking all game and he was quite far off his line, so as soon as Riyad's played it through and it's bounced quite high and I've got no support, I've just took my chance and luckily its gone over the top of him," Vardy told Sky Sports.

Maybe mignolet is good enough for his previous team, in the likes of a fallen giant who aspire to go back to the top, I'm not sure mignolet should be the one behind the post. It's harsh sentiment I know.

We fuk up big time letting Reina go because someone believed Mig was better. Mig was always a good understudy but his time as no 1 at Liverpool was premature.

The moment I watched the moment before vardy struck for goal, I knew Mig was in no man's land and it gave vardy the impetus.

Positioning for goal keeper separates the great one from the good ones.

Mig may be at some fault for positioning, but at that time Vardy was still way out from the penalty box, no way GK position at six yard box at that time.
As if Vardy beat Lovren 1 v 1, and Mig position too near the goal, and didn't come out to clear out the ball, then people will blame his positioning again.

Even if Mig positioning was not the best, it is still a wonder strike, you cannot blame GK much for conceding such a goal in this kind of situation.

As said many time, Mig may not world class type of GK like Neuer or Buffon or even Cech, but blame this defeat on GK is unjustified.
What about 2 superb save on first half that keep the scoreline 0-0? If Bogdan or other GK, may already 2-0 by half time already.

The team is not good enough in defence, particularly LB area, and offensive wise, nobody seems able to shoot as well.
How to win matches when you have problem in defending, and unable to score? Even have "spider web" like GK also the team can't win matches.

The current team main problem is not GK.

I can't describe it better. The players really clueless in the final third. I hope klopp finds a way to resolve this curse.

For Vardy's stunner, i dun blame the GK. Lovren should have attacked the ball more aggressively / apply more pressure.

Moreno is the worst liability right now

not clueless.
just lacking confidence.
plus i think the crossbars at melwood must be at least 3-storeys high...zzz.

LFC had just as many shots, just that LFC and the whole kitchen sink all trying to shoot...like they say too many cooks blah blah.
so klopp really needs to adjust his tactics...instead of trying to get everyone and his mother on the score sheet.
