imo benteke has great positioning. he just aint the type to run unless really necessary. getting him to run around like suarez to create opportunities just messes with his usual type of game. heck it just tires him. let the other striker do all the running and trust benteke to be there, ready to pounce n score the winner the way he normally does it.
dunno wat u toking man... his positioning is horrible imo. every time attack u will find him waiting at the far side, he's not fast enough to cut in so i dunno what he intends to do there
every time he receive ball his natural tendency is to one touch pass back. he never holds the ball and release other players. and talking about releasing other players, for a 32m player his passing is fkin horrible. almost as bad as carroll. the kind of half-assed push back and the angle is not even right. most importantly he does not take his chances, maybe lack of confidence i dunno
its just really frustrating envisioning yourself playing with benteke in your team.
the thing is, both mignolet and lovren never expected vardy to take a shot. hindsight is 20/20 of course so it's easy to say mignolet positioning way too out or lovren never attempt a challenge bla bla bla
assuming mig stayed on the line and lovren went in for a challenge, but turns out vardy didnt want to shoot and chose to dribble pass the now-floored lovren for a 1-on-1 with mig, what then? is it their fault again?
it's a game of probability. which is more dangerous? a 1-on-1 with vardy? or a long shot from outside the box with lovren watching him?
they're not world class players but i dont fault them for conceding that worldy
all you people arguing about benteke im going to put this to rest once and for all
benteke better at head or with his feet, it doesnt matter. he's a 6ft 2in striker from belgium and he's paid very handsomely. His only job was to score goals when he had the chance
If my memory serves me well he has had FOUR 1-on-1s now, very clear cut and straightforward scenario where he only needed to beat the fking keeper and each and every single fking time that idiot shot STRAIGHT at the keeper. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Origi had ONE chance against Aston Villa after months out with injury and he scored (and we all thought Origi was shite at the start of the season, admit it)
is anyone suggesting that Liverpool paid 32m for his headers? you must be crazy

Dont really want to judge him at this point of time ....esp.that 15 mins of pitch time isnt really a good barometer of how the player will fare in EPL.
For a start, i'm always skeptical when a player joins us for free because i have this life philosophy that good things never come free.
Either this guy is injury prone or has a bad disciplinary record off the pitch so im saying MAYBE it's worthwhile checking those areas first before making a hasty conclusion on him.
he's not exactly free. we had to shell out 4m signing on fee for him
This is what you get with henderson as captain....said this 5 years back he was not good enough for this club let alone be captain....The club needs real leadership...I rather give the armband to coutinho or sturridge....
he was really good before his injury to be fair. he's only been shite ever since coming back from it
I was at Anfield tonight. I've been here a few times but the atmosphere tonight was genuinely amazing! Everyone was singing, chanting especially after Firmino's goal.
Man u fans as always singing about gerrard and they did sing about the sun in response to our chant 'fergie's right your fans are shite.'
Buzzing about the win! Seeing klopp so passionate on the touchline was something & moreno got scolded many times by him lol.
did u hear what he was scolding about lol what did it sound like haha
