For those cash payment option, do you guys facing issue where if the amount above 2 digit (i.e. RM10 and above), the decimal point will not be shown.

Example, say your fare is RM20.70, the uber apps will show RM20.**.

So, no choice got to collect RM20 only, but, when you review back the fare later, it show RM20.70, you under collect and give discount RM0.70

Not sure if happen in Android, but, happen in iOS

Although amount may not significant, but, with increasing cash trip request, the amount can be quite significant for a week.

Already raised complain via partner app help, but, they buat bodoh only raised at least 4-5 times, only reply and adjust one trip. The other buat bodoh, no reply This not inclusive some I didn't realised, didn't printscreen to show them.

Nett or gross? As in gross fair before Uber deduction or after?

my one still ok for cash payment, the rider still ok to pay rm13 for (rm12.xx) , no complain, but something quite annoying me is why dont just show round up amount like (rm12.30) instead of rm12.28 ? they expect people to round up sendiri ?

My iPhone 6 plus doesn't have this issue. But has other issue on the accepting the request.

Encounter once that the rider doesn't have to paid the round up. Ending, I received a ONE star rating.

Yes, going. Those above 50, need to go for some simply medical check up.

Problem is the screen show rm12.**, it really rm12.**, not rm12.30. The 0.30 totally gone missing, replaced with .**. And, how to explain to rider to pay rm13, when the screen show rm12.**

Experience from last week's Uber service

Received a rider's call while I was on the road back to KL. Upon acceptance I realised that the rider was as far as 8km. Due to obligation I picked up the rider from UM faculty and dropped him off at his on-campus residential block which was less than 1.3km. The fare was RM 3.18 and uber fees rm.0.80. The rider paid in cash and walked away smiling, probably thinking it was the cheapest taxi ride ever.

What I understood is that the area of coverage should not be beyond 3.5km radius from your location,isn't it? Lately I often get calls as far as 9km.

On a second incident, I picked up a rider who was going from Jln Changat Bukit Bintang to Marc Residence Jln Pinang. The fare showed on the app was RM 1.65 when I pressed collect cash. The rider paid cash RM2 and asked me to keep the change. However when I checked the app this morning it was a different fare RM5 and Uber fees RM 1.25.

I feel this is really an insult and thinking of giving up all together.

gross fare.

Once you press collect cash, make sure faster end trips.

Reason:
1. The $/min are still running background even your are not moving. For example, collect cash (RM9.00), if you collect cash RM10.00, make change RM1.00 back to rider, and then only end trips, and then see inside the history, probably show RM 10.20.

My city Ipoh here is a radius detection of 3 miles (aprox. 4.82KM) sometime, when received request from very far, almost as near 4.8km radius, but in fact, it tooks 6KM route + 20min to pick up location.

For your case I think is 3.5 miles instead of 3.5 KM.

3.5km radius can be 10km in actual route.

I always got driver 10-15km distance to pick me up

I am proposing to Uber to impose a surge or minimum fare of RM 5 for trips less than 2km to avoid Uber driver's frustration and protect his or her interest and dignity.

Perhaps you should write in to Uber. I would think it should be RM75+RM140 excluding tolls.

Then we need more ride car applications to be in the market, so competition can bring it down.

Common, especially when there is very few driver around. Last weekend was especially bad for me. 80% of the distance to pick up location is further than the distance traveled. Really rugi. Plus, very few request come in too, even in CSA. Not sure if there is bug in the driver apps or what....my records, I travel around 3km, to travel just 150m, reason this student have dunno what party, it was raining, and she don't want to wet her dress, thus, request uber

Then, around 2.30am (I am about reach home, 30 meter away, thought of let it auto offline, after all, it is residential area, away from those drinking area, and it 2;30am) received another ping, 9km away at Zouk, surge 1.7x. Forget it, I wanna to sleep, don't want to risk fetching some drunkard.

And guess what, even with my miserable 25 trips for the week, I received sms said I am top 5% drivers Guess really many short of drivers, and guess many had dropped off driving

In your dream lah.....if they don't reduce fare to fight with grab consider ok already.

End of day, the driver will suffer. they continue cut fare (like now fighting with grab) but, passenger will gain. But ultimately, this ride sharing business will die, as no one want to drive, taxi driver enjoy.

I assume the RM158 is just the fare, excluding tolls.

So if the fare is RM158, nett to driver will be RM158-20%= RM126.40

Petrol cost 20% of RM126.40 = RM26.00 plus petrol down from Genting say another RM14.00 total RM40.00

Karak Toll on the way back = RM6.00 plus give you another RM2.50 on the Duke to get you back to CSA.

Say this trip contribute another RM20 to your car service.

Total cost = RM40+RM8.50+RM20 = RM68.50

RM126.40 - RM68.50 = RM 57.90

Assuming you drive slowly, entire trip from KLIA to Genting and back down takes 3 hours, you still nett RM19.30 per hour.

How is that worst then working in McDonald's? I will be happy making RM19.30 nett per hour just driving.

If GC 110-20%=88.00
-total cost 88-57.90= 30.10
/3 hrs 30.10/3=10.03/hrs
will u still b happy doing it?
