I've tried looking for options in Pinnacle studio, but can't find any. also, whenever I pull these files into the project, it'll give me a warning immediately about some format problem and non-compliance.

My files aren't that bid. Most of them are short 30-sec clips.(digicam limitation!). Guess i'll give the virtualdub a try.

For the format compliance (VCD/DVD) you can check at http://www.videohelp.com/.There is a section describe about the bitrate, resolution etc so you don't end up with creating movie which is not compliance to those media.

i tried using WInAvi to convert my rmv to avi but when it comes out i can oinly hear the sound no video comes out at all

hi i have converted rmvb movies to vcd through TMPGEnc.after converting found out that no sound from the vcd files.i usualy download vcd files and convert to dvd through TMPGE DVD AUTHOR with no problem at all.its my 1st time converting rmvb to vcd so i dont know whats wrong please anyone can help THANKS A LOT

They have alot of form on this issues, with different programs using different audio software.. not sure what audio did you use to convert?
virtualdub?toollame?SCMPX in tmpgnec.

You have more luck searching your answers in videohelp forum

My 1 is like this but after convert the quality is good just the black colour become not so sharp like the shxt...
My setting is here...

how to burn .BIN files into VCD format?
using alcohol 120% only burns it as an image file..cant watch it on any player..

i also have a mp4 file,which cant be converted.anyone know what software can help in converting these files?(i wanna get them off my HDD cos taking up lots of space..)

1. *.BIN should come with *.CUE also (correct me if I'm wrong).Check your Alcohol 120%.Make sure you burn into VCD not as image (I'm using Nero & can select 'burn as image').
2. PM the originator & inform them to update the links.
3. *.MP4 quite hard to find the conversion tool (priority for freeware if possible), but I'm still searching and doing some test before posting the link.

u sue japan tmp kah? u patut use the load profile got qc standard punya but u kena pasti ur source is pal or ntsc dulu.

Due to some firmware restriction the SX813 A.K.A as the 902SH only will play DRM mp3 as the ringtone. anyone here as a program to convert normal .mp3 to drm mp3's. did some googling but none of the search seems relevant.

There also a link which using mcoder (command line tool) to do the job.Not suggested for newbiew lazy with typing the command.Not sure whether mcoder support subtitle (hardcoded) or not.Haven't try it.Maybe later.

Basically it's also use command line tool except it has GUI to make thing easier.It will demux into video, audio and subtitle (if applicable).Later you can mux it using VirtualDub
