i'm having problems with my noctua cooler. the idle temperature is high about 48 degrees celcius. my system isnt overclock. Already checked the mounting is tightly screwed. Suspiciosly, i removed the cooler and i found out that the thermal paste barely pressed between cpu and heatsink.  hmm.gif  Need help here.
*
I just took out my Noctua and have a look. Damm alot of pressure since the tim spread till overflow abit. This is the first time i see complain about noctua not enough pressure. Try to install your backplate and those mounting on the mobo again and have a look on your mobo. it is bend? hehe

Yeah, you are right...I want 2 units too...irangan...how can you left me out from the list... cry.gif  just joking... tongue.gif  I did not post about it again as I did not see any info of the fan in the first page yet, so I thought you haven want to take order for it... sweat.gif

Do we need to make deposit for the fan as well? If yes, please PM me when the deposit needed... Thanks... notworthy.gif

OT:

Just wondering, would putting a thicker TIM will help if in case the IHS isnt really flat?I mean, putting more TIM to force it to touch with the HSF?
*
Nono... Too much TIM only will decrease the performance. If it is not touching the processor, you need to use other method. putting more TIM wont help for sure.

QUOTE(wongkev @ Apr 16 2007, 12:05 AM)
Put me down for one heatsink with fan (NH-U12F)
*
Noted that. Thanks for your support.

QUOTE(Polaris @ Apr 16 2007, 03:10 AM)
That's great, I'll be looking out for this fan when my lame front and back cooler master fan dies out. Hopefully irangan will still be around.

So far, the cpu temp never goes above 44 C.. so I'll assume the paste is spread okay and leave it at that.
*
errrr.... I will be around if there is demand for U12F else if i only take the fan only, it will cost at least RM90 when reach malaysia.

QUOTE(akachester @ Apr 16 2007, 08:43 AM)
I am quite sure that the one given by Noctua should be ceramique type, not those AS5 type. So i guess applying it on the whole IHS would be good enough..If you have the budget, i really guess its better to join this fan bulk here..lol..Cause irangan wont be bringing those fans alone, and orders for NH-U12 is slowing down..Damn, i need those fans.My opty is running at 50c without OC..
*
Yes, those stock tim is not silver. it is normal white tim.

QUOTE(black_dragon @ Apr 16 2007, 09:27 PM)

EDIT: Opps, just realised there is no VX in there...

Anyway, you could roughly estimate the performance of Noctua compare to other brand smile.gif

Many people is having good experiences with the Noctua and it performs really well. Not sure how good it is when compared with the TT BTVX. Anyway, about the fan, its designed to be quiet and could be one of the most silent fan around considering the amount of air its blowing.I dont have one but looking at the specs, it should be too noisy..

lol..Yea, he is bringing those fans but must be bulked together with the coolers. RM65 is a great deal i must say for a fan at this performance..Maybe not many people is interested because of the price but i must say, when silence comes into mind, Noctua should be the best all around..Thats why i am eagerly waiting to get my hands on them..

You can always place your orders now.Already 7 units of NH-U12F is in order, 3 more and we can proceed. The fans order already reached around 6, with almost each person ordering wants 2 of them..lol..

I think there is 6 years warranty for those fans so there is nothing to be worried about. Its a 12cm fan and if your HSF are able to support it, it will be fine..

You can install any fan of your liking...not necessary to install Noctua fan...but Noctua fan will be better as it is quite and have great performance...if you like, you can put those high CFM fan too...but the noise level will be an issue too... icon_rolleyes.gif

Yea, you are right. You can use other type of fan for the HSF.Try looking at irangan's rig and i think he is using a different fan for the Noctua HSF while using the Noctua as side intake fan...

Saw a review here regarding the NH-U12F and NH-U9

Should be no problem for getting a replacement. But depends case to case basic lo. If it is due to your fault, like drop and damage. probably hard to claim.

of course you can use other brand fan on it. smile.gif

Yea, just wondering bro irangan,

If there were something to happen on the fan (not personal damage), you will help us with the warranty right?
