Called again, the price they quote yesterday was for 55" and not 65' they misquote.... but the promo for 65" are 16+++, so not worth it....

Sorry for the misquote, as mentioned, dont "shoot" me ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

I didn't and I won't.

But I do know a guy who had a B6 and it got bricked when flashing firmware. He had an extended warranty with HN and they replaced his set with an entirely new C7. That was last year. So I guess, it's not so bad?

I see... like the B6 case you shared, if he didn't buy the Extended Warranty, then it could have to purchase a brand new C7 which cost like 8-9K at that time, right?

I still wondering whether to get the extended warranty or not.. as the cost is not cheap...

Life is full of 50/50s. If nothing happened, then the extended warranty is basically for nothing. For the retailer, it's easy pocket money because the amount for replacements simply doesn't exceed the blind profits they get from extended warranty buy-ins.

It's up to you if you want that "peace of mind". Keep in mind, it's Malaysia and it's case by case basis. I don't think extended warranties guarantees that you'd get a new model if your current model is fixable which is usually subjected to availability of parts and also the proper expertise to fix a specific issue.

Sticks out like a sore thumb unfortunately. The great thing about OLEDs is because it's suppose to be so thin that it dissapears into the wall in a dark room, further boosting the perception of "infinite contrast". The LG W8 in a completely pitch black room is a sight to behold.

As long as it's formatted as NTFS, 4TB drives will work.

Although honestly speaking, I suggest you get a dedicated player instead if you are going to be watching movies long term using HDD.

Why is that? probable damage to tv in supplying constant power to hdd ?

I do have Hi-media 4k player which I dont use anymore since it doesn't do anything extra compared to plugging hdd to tv directly

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, have you guys had any experience with burn in issues before? Im looking for an oled tv that will be used as a monitor and will be on for a long time. Will the static image caused image retention and subsequently burn in? And what are some tips on avoiding it, thanks

no. but if u worried about burn in issue, avoid oled at all cost.

we, Oled user knew the fact it will burn if long run with static images

what we did to avoid burn in

1) dont buy display unit

2) dont watch astro/national tvs, go for netflix, amazon prime, directv/sling tv instead.

another extra tips if u want to

1) put the tv at less watch place. For example, put inside room rather than living room as u will only use it at night to watch movies. but normal lcd tvs at the living room instead.

2) play more games rather than watching movies/tv

and you are welcome

Disagree on the bolded one though. I use my C7 as a display to play more games than watch movies, it is my primary display for reviewing games in fact. Burn-in hasn't occurred after over 1 year of abuse.
