I got offers as below

1- LG G3 65in .. rm11,600 .. 2 yrs warranty (lazada)
2- LG C3 65in .. rm9,900 .. 3 yrs warranty + rm600 next purchase voucher (senq)
3- LG G3 65in .. rm13,300 .. 3 yrs warranty + rm700 next purchase voucher (senq)

I use TV to watch youtube and movies most of the time. Rarely play game.

Which one should I go for it? Dillemma now.

Is the speaker on C3 far better than G3? Because I hate to use sound bar because dont like to turn on too many device.
IS the G3 MLA really beat C3 a lot? I actually like QD-OLED the color more vivid when I saw many reviews from youtube. But I know WOLED is more better to avoid burn-in issue.

I close to retirement age. I am going to use for long term at least 5 yrs. Please help.

I watch many reviewer said it is a problem on LG. Any workaround to fix this?

Typical panel lottery.

Prior to green tint, it was pink tint with the previous generation panels. Can happen to any OLED panels.

Pink tint only for white background I think.

LG oled basically few cons that one has to accept... black crush when near black, pink tint on white background and now green tint on skin tone.

Not to say QD oled is perfect. S95C has even worse problem with dropout when using high refresh. Sony A95L has problem over 2000nits.

On bright backgrounds, doesn't actually have to be white.
Prior to pink tint, it was yellow tint (C9/CX era).

Black crush can be improved but not eliminated, so yes it's a flaw. Black flashing artifacts in dark scenes with VRR engaged is also another flaw that has to be accepted. Indeed consumer OLED is not perfect.

Regardless, all tinting issues are relegated to panel lottery. If you buy a G3, you can demand for a panel exchange. HVN entertained me at least because my first unit had very poor uniformity (also a lot of DSE) and quite a bit of green tint. My second unit has no green tint push, uniformity is still not great but I wouldn't say terrible either. So I've accepted it as the next exchange would need to wait until the end of November before new stock arrives.

Lol Panasonic uses LG OLEDs. If it happens on LG, it'll happen on Panasonic. Just like it'll happen on Sony and Philips as well.

Good Morning OLED Masters,

is A series sufficient enough just for normal usage? Netflix, Apple TV, 4K physical media, TV Box?

Planning to replace with my current Sony X90H (Backlight bleeding getting bad... haiz....)

No plan for gaming.

Thank!

I believe LG is usually the cheapest in this region.

Extended warranty is a subjective choice, that's up to you. I bought my 77" G3 without extended warranty, neither did I with my previous 77" C9.

depends on where you want to use it and the lighting. A series is a bit dim so suitable for dark rooms.

Just went to a reputable panashop.
Asked whether Panasonic OLED tv is using LG plasma panel.
Yes... but Panasonic is getting the first grade of LG plasma panel from LG. Hence, the quality of OLED TV is not compromised.

What plasma panel?
Plasma panels hasn't been in production since 11 years ago. doh.gif

The "first grade" panel or whatever the fuck they told you is the the MLA OLED EX panels that LG is already using on the LG G3. Panasonic MZ2000 is Pana's 2023 flagship model, which uses the same MLA panel from LG. So much for being a "reputable" shop when they can't even give accurate info.

Panasonic's only advantage is that they adhere to industry calibration out of the box better than LG.
