Why do you want to upgrade? I don't think UOB Preferred Plat has anything interesting besides the not-so-interesting PPL privilege.

Other cards offer much better condition for PPL.
For instance, Aeon Gold and Aeon Big Gold with free 6x access every year.
This Preferred Plat needs you to spend RM 500 consecutively every month for 3 months only can enter for free.

Up to you, I'm just suggesting as I have other PPL cards as well. smile.gif
Upgrade cannot be done via agent. You will need to deal with bank directly.

Do you get the cashback?

Few occasions my lady boss swiped the card on the 1st of the month and no cashback received in the next statement laugh.gif

I want to know what's the method of crediting of the cash back before i can answer if there is cashback or no... if swipe on the 1st also no cashback then i give up... sweat.gif

Usually CB will credit to account on the Next statement

problem being it only states credited within 60 days (from that spending month) and not specifically stated that it's credited on statement date or any specific date.

Can some one answer my question as per below T_T

"I received notice since last year around Oct or Nov informed me that my Visa Preferred Plat will be ceased and will replaced with UOB PRVI Miles... But until now... I didn't get the new card or any news for this... Anyone here who using Visa Preferred Platinum already got the replacement card? "

the best way is to buy cash vouchers (at tesco or giant or etc.) or reload your gift card (at aeon big or etc.) or reload your tng (at mydin or sam or etc.) on monday as early as possible.

then you may use your cash vouchers or gift card or tng card anytime throughout the week or the month or the year or before expiry.
do note that tng can be used to pay at tesco, mydin, watson, guardian, etc.

don't say uncle didn't share! happy spending for cny! brows.gif  laugh.gif

UOB now gives 5% rebate to transaction done in some selected foreign currencies.
Last week I made some purchases online and paid in USD via Paypal.

Only to be informed by UOB customer service... transaction done via Paypal is converted to home currency (MYR) by Paypal before charging it to the card. The conversion was not done by the bank. As a result, my transactions not entitled to the 5% rebate.

you could have set your paypal to charge your credit card in foreign currency, which you should because paypal's conversion rate is very bad as compare to banks.

If I buy GSC online via gsc.com.my, which card (Vox or One) will I get 5% cash back?

Does anyone here know how SMART $ works and what is the effective cash back?

Thank you.

What makes you think that One Card has any category for online and get 5% cash back? smile.gif

To answer to your question, I supposed VOX will entitle you to 5% cash rebate but I guess you will need to buy a lot of tickets or buy Gold Class. One needs to spend at least RM 50 per online transaction to get the cash back. Anything less than RM 50 will not be entitled. smile.gif

According to UOB website, ONE card enjoy 2% (weekday) and 5% (weekend) cash rebate at GSC. Does it mean that this is only applicable over counter?
