the only thing i hate about Xiaomi phone is the ROM. MIUI is juz not my taste. i am buying because of the hardware and price.

i got a Mi3 previously. the hardware is out of this world for the price i pay. the software is just not up to par. MIUI is one of the very early ROM and copy heavily from iOS (the menu, the icon). until today that neva change.

much like the mipad i have. from day 1, i install Google Now launcher. if i do get Mi5, i am sure launcher is the first i install.

its the launcher. u dun get the MIUI iOS-like launcher. Google Now Launcher is the stock launcher in Nexus phone.

go back install on yur Mi3. its not gonna whack yur phone. dun like then juz uninstall.

if you are into theme den dun bother trying. the MIUI theme dun work on GN.

I have been using ip5 for 3 years, and worst it lags on the ios9. That's the reason i still remain on ios7.

i duno why u say slow... my iPad mini 2 retina (since 2014) upgraded to latest firmware... no problem at all...
maybe you factory reset the set in see... i don see any problem...

not launcher, MIUI takes too much ram at start up also...
so it is taking more resources, where as if you use google now it is more lighter...
actually MIUI is the concerns which makes me to ditch Mi3 after use for a year...
i hope for Android v5.0 (L) which makes it lighter to run but unfortunately...
it doesn't come when i want to sell off...

Sony firmware is the best as it is near to Vanilla but with skinning...
HTC is also not far behind... my Desire 820s is serving me well for a year dy..
but the battery is giving up soon, i think, cos it doesnt last already...

Yeah,  agree.  Sooner or later,  this xiaomi will kill a lot of goodwill amongst its fans.  It's not like we cannot afford a Samsung or Sony flagship.

Allow ppl to buy online but the delivery period can be staggered.
*
The price we pay for a xiaomi is the reason why they dont have enough supply. They skimp on marketing, warehousing and production thats why we get those super low prices.
Actually people cant afford Samsung or Sony is why ppl get a xiaomi, i mean if i could afford the Z5 now i would rather get it then Mi5.

A good example, Mi3 specs SD800 & 2gb ram exactly same as S4 and Nexus 5. From what i see, people with Mi3 and S4 either changed phone or stuck with a laggy phone. Im still using Nexus 5 Android 6.01 and it still runs laps around newer phones and still performs like a new phone. It shows just how heavy Miui and Touchwiz is.

I think many people who can afford RM1. 5k for a xiaomi flagship can afford to top up another 1k for a Samsung or Sony if they really want to but many don't think it's worth it to pay so much.

Xiaomi has saved a lot on marketing cost but they cannot keep this flash sales SH1T going on for too long.

There are more and more options, some not as good though like Huawei or even the Samsung A series but at least you can get it...

Yes those paying 1.5k are in the middle, either can easily afford a 2.5k phone or eat vege for a month but ppl buy xiaomi coz its really bang for buck.

They are also relatively new as a company so they just dont have enough production capabilities yet but they are expending factories from foxconn & india so they should improve in the coming years...so i expect mi phones to get more expensive as well. Honor is a good example but compare the size of Huawei to Xiaomi...

i agree with you MIUI is SHITZ heavy and a lot of fanboy doesnt agree about this...
my HTC or my wife Sony with midrange chipset still working fine with Lollipop and 2GB RAM...
my Lumia 535 even best... 1GB RAM the system is as smooth as Mi3...
i don see why Mi3 will have heavy multitasking problem and laggy, thats why i sold it off...

yup.. but again, if this kind of lack of stock goes on it will hurt themselves...
XiaoMi is poor on update firmware, so it is depends on user what they expect from this device...

rumour  brows.gif

knowing how apple place their product u will know their strategy is to lure u to buy their more expensive models
Examples
huge 16-64gb gap
Only offer OIS on the 6+/6s+

I'm not surprised if it comes with 1gb ram

Maybe apple got many leftover parts to clear from iphone5s, and some of the parts can be reused lol.

Tks for the heads up bro.  Did not realise or bother to check for latest negative reviews cos last time I almost wanted to buy but price was a bit too high for me

My Ideal HP Specs

Screen Size - 5.5 inch or Min 5.2
Bands - Must support LTE
Sim - Dual Sim
SD Card - Preferred but not must have
Replaceable Battery - Preferred but not must have

The LG 4G ticks all the above boxes but lucky for me, you tipped me off on the latest bad news.

Perhaps wait for the Mi Note Replacement
*
I was think to buy g4 too,the price after discount from lazada coupon is very tempting,do a quick read on g4 forum and kaboom, most of the user doesnt want another lg product, because claim even from zitron set is too slow, even latest batch got mobo bootloop problem,in short its a time boom.

Imho,i think older g3 is a great deal, else, just wait for mi5,or just grab cheaper redmi note 3 pro
