Hi guys! I was wondering whether anyone could enlighten me on the price of coffee beans in Malaysia?
Retail and wholesale price please? Any legit suppliers around?

Sorry too straightforward, thank you!!

Wholesale eh? Are you looking for home or maybe a small office eh?
I've started a micro roastery online. We could chat about what I could do for you or even if you just need to talk smile.gif

What's the preoccupation with fineness? Once the grinder can reach the level of choking the espresso machine, is there any need to go even finer? Doing turkish?

The thing I like with conicals are the effectively-zero retention.  For home use (just a few shots a day) this is a concern to me.
*
yes precisely thats what i heard/read the sette is able to choke a prosumer machine!! but i think it depends on beans too and the temp and humidity of your brew area!! but take it with a pinch of stale beans!! tongue.gif till we personally test it out side by side to decide!!

till then just wait for it to be officially available then I'm sure there is more reviews coming up!

and i just found a really good deal via mudah! if any of you looking for a decent espresso machine!

http://www.mudah.my/Coffee+expresso+mesin+...in-45125833.htm

ps: i have no connection or affiliation with the seller! just sharing good deals!! smile.gif

I think the price is reasonable.... if you do 1 to 1 conversion is it about close to 2k......

one must not forget.... the person who sell you also want to gain profit..... plus order in taxation is not like it used to be, everything now will be charge for high price.... example taken from my friend order his watch overseas last few weeks back and got heavy tax as well.... just for rm500 watch other country price but cost him up to rm900 watch when reaches our shore to his hand....

That's strange, watches are exclusively tax-free, AFAIK? Ordered some >2k, never taxed before.

Based on the Baratza webpage for the Sette 270, the target price is USD 379.

Based on a number of websites the Eureka Mignon price is around USD 450 to USD 490 .

We know that the local price for the Mignon is around RM1900.

How can the Sette be more expensive? I would have hoped it would be at max the same.

Maybe there's some level of capitalism/greed in there but don't forget that some European electrical goods are more expensive in the US than Europe.

In the UK the Sette is 318GBP vs. the Mignon at 280GBP

In short if you want a European item, import it from UK/Europe. If you want an item made in the US, import it from the US but live with 110v.

Agree with below from tishaban on one of the point..... If you get US item it will be cheaper..... i brought grinder that using 110V and i can say it is cheap here few hundred ringgit but of your getting Europe or UK or anytime which runs on 240v ..... it will be expensive....

For Hario double walled cups you can get them easily at any outlet selling Hario products; ie. Aeon Jusco, Parkson, Isetan. You can also try CoffeeRitual in Damansara Utama.

Anyone have experience with the Bodum double wall glasses? They're rated pretty highly on Amazon but more than a few comments about how easily they break, which worries me.

Hi guys. I'm planning to get a machine+grinder for home use. First-timer. I was wondering if the Breville BES870 will be a good one to start with?
