Just ordered one.
Those who using miui, SOT can reach 10++ hours like some online review claimed? If really can need to buy more haha. My previous phone battery 2000mAh only, gave me so much anxiety. Initially wanted to buy a RN3 Pro, but this is cheaper by Rm400. Any compromise is totally worth the RM 400 difference, cause the price difference enough to buy another redmi 3 already. 2 lower mid-end phones > 1 mid-end phone This post has been edited by sagethesausage: May 26 2016, 10:20 AM |

My SOT with personal usage of Whatsapp, FB, Chrome, Clash Royale.
With 30% battery left WiFi: 7-8 hours (Quite consistent with about 1 hour SOT = 10% battery) LTE: 5-6 hours (depends on places I go to so connection switches between 2G/3G/LTE) It's RM5XX anyways on LAZADA with voucher codes now I think? Unless looking at Redmi 3 Pro RM6XX This post has been edited by Eugene91: May 26 2016, 01:10 PM |

Can anyone confirm if this 'Fastboot Flash' method which uses MiFlash works on locked bootloaders to flash stock MIUI ROM? http://en.miui.com/a-234.html because it mentioned "If your device is locked. please click here to unlock it first. "

" For locked bootloaders, you have to make sure that your redmi 3 is boot to "download" mode instead of "fastboot" mode. After this, the rest of the steps will be same as fastboot flash. |

QUOTE(Casey Joo @ Apr 12 2016, 09:36 AM) You can follow this guide first, flashing ROM without using PC: Thank you, was plagued with the problem of pc not recognise phone. This solved it. http://en.miui.com/download-298.html If it's not able to flash for whatever reason which is what happened to mine, where the software doesn't recognise the ROM file, use this manual flash guide. Do click the link to go to youtube website, cause the video description contain all the necessary download. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffytnVrBc9E The video didn't show the most vital step though. First have to install Mi PCsuite, as it'll install USB driver, or else your PC cannot detect your phone. Another problem is you MUST use 64bit windows (according to guide on MIUI forum) though, or else will give you "not enough memory" problem, happened to mine, and it soft bricked my phone. You can try use 32bit windows to do it, if really flash unsuccessful, don't panic, just unplug the USB cable, press and hold power button, your phone will restart and enter boot loop (keep restart but won't get past MI logo), hold the volume up+down and you'll see the phone stop boot loop and looked like it's shutdown (but it's actually entering download mode again), connect USB, flash again. |

QUOTE(eq8all @ Mar 31 2016, 08:52 PM) Flashing is similar to formatting. So root would be pointless as that will get wiped as well. I think ts should add this to the first post for newcomers, since now almost everyone's redmi 3 comes with the shitty vendor rom. 1. Preparation a~ Make sure your PC is running on an x86-64 = 64 bit OS w/e Win 7, 8, 8.1 or 10. This is crucial. b~ Read this 1st. We'll get back to it. c~ Now go to this link, yes 1st download that .exe file in Step 1 it's the installer for MiFlash and then scroll all the way down until you can see "Redmi 3 Latest China Developer Version Fastboot File Download" and click that. Let these finish. d~ While you're at it, begin backup take out your micro SD + SIM reinsert the flap and move w/e data gf pics etc to your PC. e~ now when the downloads are done, go to c:\ create a new folder keep it simple name it to ayam. Extract the fastboot file from .tgz -> .tar and then again until it's a folder. Go into this folder select all then cut and go back to c:\ayam then paste. f~ remember step 1b above? yes follow that link, read, do and install MiFlash after you rebooted into the disabled driver sig verification environ. Make sure that you right click run as administrator on the .exe and when you see the warning dialogs just ignore and select install this driver anyway.Continue installation until it's finished. Done and reboot. 2. Flashing a~ Turn phone off, press Vol Up + Power hold until it boots to a weird looking recovery. Select tap on Download. Then it'll be blank screen don't panic that's just how it is. Put the phone aside for a bit. b~ By now MiFlash should be available on your Start screen so right click on the shortcut run as admin. c~ Connect phone via USB cable once MiFlash is launched and double check by clicking on Refresh button. If it shows a COM10 entry below then it's good. d~ now click on Browse button locate c:\ayam e~ then click on Flash f~ IF it's successful congratulations now can proceed to step 3 3. PM me so that you can transfer my coffee fund laters Good luck... |

QUOTE(silent_screamerz @ May 27 2016, 06:33 PM) Hi, If want bigger size get the 5.5" Redmi Note 3 from Mi Malaysia. This phone 5" only. RN3 is Rm749, so still within your budget, with a lot to spare. Can use out of the box instead of having to flash non-bloated rooms like r3. Malaysia warranty some more, so any problem can just go Mi service centre.I wanted to buy this phone for my dad.
