QUOTE(sagethesausage @ May 26 2016, 10:15 AM) Just ordered one. Those who using miui, SOT can reach 10++ hours like some online review claimed? If really can need to buy more haha. My previous phone battery 2000mAh only, gave me so much anxiety. Initially wanted to buy a RN3 Pro, but this is cheaper by Rm400. Any compromise is totally worth the RM 400 difference, cause the price difference enough to buy another redmi 3 already. 2 lower mid-end phones > 1 mid-end phone how much did you pay actually ? I plan to get one for my girl as well,

I bought an AP set, Redmi 3 (not Pro) for my girl. To replace her ageing Iphone 4S.
Not sure when the Official EU ROM will be launched, but I did go thru some sweaty moment doing all the roms stuff. The biggest issue I face was that I already flashed to "SWING" locked bootloader rom before I got the unlock key.
1. So went a few ways to have it unlocked, as I had to find my way to get a fastboot Chinese official rom. 2. Then from the chinese official rom, use updater app to flash to global (chinese) dev rom. 3. Then unlock with MiFlash unlock 4. Install TWRP via fastboot method 5. Installed latest SWING mod english rom, regretted it because I hate the SWING boot animation 6. Install eu.miui latest Ido rom, happy with that.
So I have some experience on Swing locked bootloader rom, CN official rom, CN global dev rom, SWING unlocked latest rom, and finally eu.miui rom. I must say I like the last rom as it's so closed to proper global rom and quite slim (rom size) in comparison.

QUOTE(moonhowler @ Jul 9 2016, 11:39 AM) hi , may you advice how to install twrp via fastboot? tq Use fastboot command under command prompt, and prior to that you should place the twrp recovery in the same folder as the adb and fastboot exe folder. Rename it to recovery.img then hit the command : Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Anyone tried the latest eu.miui rom, and is any of the rom support native "double tap to wake up" the phone ? If yes pls tell us which rom is it. I am on EU 6.7.7 but it does not have the feature.
I know Mi5 and MiMax has this feature on the stock rom.
