When it's working, yeah you can stream 4K.. Trouble is the cat and mouse game with Netflix.
Hopefully not. Do expect it though. Who knows, could be cuz our library is more limited. Fair pricing..bla bla. smile.gif

Yeah, not really fair when us got complete library

For getflix, does it just work for netflix app on smart tv?
Seems like it just doesn't work on android tv apps, just get vpn error

True, not fair but can't really blame it all on Netflix. Could also be censorship from the government as well...you know to avoid "confusion", etc. Anyway, Getflix is more than just Netflix and can be setup on a compatible router for global usage. If it's the Netflix app that throws an error on your TV, that's normal...just means that Netflix's servers detected you aren't connecting directly to them and blocked access. Same probably applies to other apps and or that particular Getflix's server is down at the moment.

Yeah, i'm aware of that
Hulu, hbo etc basically everything else works except netflix
So far I've tried setting up openvpn directly on my mibox, vpn hotspot from my phone, also on router.
It just won't work, even geflix help line said it works only browser app.

I'm starting to think netflix apps on samsung/lg/etc smart tv are the exception since it's working for you.

hmm.gif Could be.. Plus mine's running the older SmartHub OS, not Samsung's newer Tizen. And I changed the TV's region to that of USA from day one.

Have you tried expressvpn/nordvpn dns?
Not fast enough to stream 4k?

For Netflix, perhaps a VPN then.. In the past, when I really want to watch a USA only content & Getflix isn't working.., I fire up a paid VPN on the PC and use the Windows app. Works smooth. Sadly, I don't have a 4K monitor to test 4K streaming via the VPN. Maxes out at 1080p.

That's okay.. Upgrade when you can.. No rush, tech should get better and cheaper.. I'm still using a 55" 1080p Smart TV.. Bought couple years ago for a price that today will fetch me a nice 65" 4K + HDR TV.. So yeah, no rush.. Wait as long as you can to get the best deal on a good TV. As with some, I'm holding out to see if OLED tech can be sold much cheaper than current prices.

Hi guys,

Anyone having buffering issue with Netflix starting today 25 Dec 2017?

Do you guys experience buffering issue with Netflix today on Unifi.

I am on Unifi 100 Mbps and I have buffering issue with Netflix, even loading the app is slow.

When I switch to my Digi or Maxis, my Netflix load instantly.

It is happening for my TV, PC and Phone so it is not device related issue.

Thank You

TM issue.. I experienced something similar last week using Unifi too. Mine went away after rebooting the TV, Modem and router. Waited about 5 minutes in between.

I have rebooted countless times.

My speedtest is getting 105 Mbps so there's nothing wrong with my speed.

I guess a lot of Cyberjaya people watching Netflix

Perhaps... As you observed, it's a TM issue, not Netflix. Cuz Netflix's servers can handle the load and lately there have been reports of TM network outages.. No such problem reports for Netflix.

No kidding. I was trying to watch netflix during christmas holiday with family. Almost malu as the quality of the stream only 240p or maybe480p.....

Even my mom said, wah upgrade to 100mbps and still so lauyah.

Fortunately after 5minute the stream bump up to 1080p

BTW: if anyone is interested. I watched The Expanse, Gooding woh. Space theme sci-fi and have lots and lots of drama.

Mums...Haha.. I know that feeling of waiting for it to ramp up to FHD.. Though on mine, it takes about a minute or 2 tops to get there. I've seen The Expanse and it surprisingly turned out pretty good. I was expecting some SYFY channel Sharknado type production.. But wow!.. For those who thoroughly enjoy BAU inspired movies (aka mind-benders), I would recommend you watch the following series;
*Mindhunter
*Manhunt: Unabomber
*Dark

Thanks and yes, always recommended to set the config directly on the router than just on the device itself.
