You are still not fully legit yet. The fact that you are using getflix to watch overseas contents you are not entitled to, you are still a pirate  biggrin.gif

Me, I am sailing the black seas, unless I strike 1st price in the lottery.

at least I'm paying for the content I want to watch

All me plunders from me pirating days are just sitting at one corner collecting digital dust
and me old bones are just too sore to sail the choppy & stormy sea of Kodi again

Geo-restriction wasn't supposed to exist.. I blame dem corporations and governments.

Haha... Ye hung up thy boots just as the waters are calming... There be merchant ships that willingly give up their goods to us without even the whisper of a fight..

Hi guys... I'm currently running Netflix off my LG blu-ray player that allows me to play Netflix movies in HD. I have a China blu-ray player that reliably plays ahem blu-ray discs. Currently living in a rented condo.

Bought a new house, have to cancel Unifi & Netflix for 3 months while I shift to a room somewhere to wait for renovations to complete. After that I will resubscribe.

When I move in, I want to get an android box so that I can retire the LG blu-ray player and run Kodi & Netflix from the same device. I want one that allows me to add a hard drive so that I can dump all my MP3s and whatnot (media ctr).

Bottom line, I plan to attach the android box, China blu-ray player and PS4 to my Pioneer AV receiver. Less clutter.

Question:

1) Which android box can I get in order to get Netflix in HD and also install a hard drive..?

2) Since I'm resubscribing to everything all over again, how do I get overseas Netflix content? Is it even possible?

1) Nvidia shield home server, so far this is the only android box certified hd 4k netflix with hdd, and it's a bit expensive
Sure you can't just put the hdd inside external case?
Either get xiaomi mibox (international version) or amazon firetv and you're already saving +1k there.

2) User dns-trick (us region only)

Can always find them. biggrin.gif

Looking forward to Defenders, for sure.

And urghhh... Death Note... again! This is a Japanese manga series. Must hv watched 3 live action movies and 2 tv series already.
This netflix one.... interesting William Dafoe chosen to play Ryuk... yes, he does look like the original Japanese Ryuk! laugh.gif

Ozark... done. Acceptable... a bit like Breaking Bad... will see if next seasons will become just as good.

Sure, can always find em in the wild.. However, they've taken money and its more convenient.. So use.. biggrin.gif

Looking forward to Defenders too... Death Note? doesn't ring a bell, so we'll see. As for Ozark, hmmm.. Just 2 episodes in, but yeah, seems to be going in the right direction.

Usually if it's Netflix original series/movies, it will be available here same day as US
as Netflix themselves own the copyrights, they can bloody broadcast in any country they want

Buddy, looks like you failed to account for the fact that there are countries who won't allow certain content in cuz power and sex. In which case, original content or not, can still get banned or watered down.

Does Android TV allow us to install/uninstall the Netflix app?

My current experience with Sony Smart TV (not Android TV) does not allow me to uninstall/reinstall the Netflix app.

I've been having trouble getting my Sony Smart TV to work with Netflix after moving to my new home. The only way to fix it is to deactivate/sign-out from my Netflix but the TV won't allow me to do it.

I want to get a new TV so I was wondering if Android TV have the option of uninstalling/reinstalling apps.

On my Samsung, there's a certain code keypress that immediately does the signing out or deactivating. Try googling for it and if it'll work on yours. Since you mentioned getting a new TV, I'm assuming you plan on getting rid of the current one and worried about your login credentials, there's factory reset for that.

Hi again voncrane, we've already talked about this before (Post #716). I've exhausted all the options & looking to get a new TV or chromecast.
