ok i think i might gonna start a fan war here wit this question:-
iflix better or netflix better? >< OMG sorry all for tis question T_T

Netflix is much better. They have a biz model that most have been clamoring for. Easy monthly payments, no ads and said monthly payments are pooled to ensure smooth service and produce a wide range and number of solid original content.

Yup... No way at the present situation can iflix take over Netflix..

Iflix business model was based on it operating without Netflix.... They built their business model on basis that Netflix not offering their business to us in SEA.
*
Precisely and why theirs can't gain much traction as they entered too late before bigger Netflix expanded. If I were a content producer and asked for exclusive rights by both Netflix and iFlix... Sure, offer it to the provider with the largest customer base and outreach.

i am planning to use netflix

but where can i watch sport ? like epl & la liga ?

b4 this was astro & now close already
*
Netflix is not an IPTV service. Use Google, there are other legitimate sources to get subscription to EPL, etc.

They just having SD quality content. So, typically that iflix pay for SD content only for now. Iflix just get some english & Korea drama. Nothing new.

As for netflix. What i hate is you need certificate device that support HD. Not all device like cheap China phone can get to watch in HD. Now more reason to watch Netflix. biggrin.gif https://amanz.my/2018161269/
*
I actually approve of Netflix only allowing certified devices to get the full experience as if they unlock it for all, then they would have to deal with a lot of complaints from clueless users with crappy devices. Most often, the issues will be from the devices and or internet connection. There are actually a lot of smart devices that can run at fhd+.. Just that one who is able to seek out and pay for Netflix, should also be smart enough to get a capable device. Quite inexpensive at the moment. smile.gif

Contact your VPN provider or Router manual on how to setup VPN on your router. Need to be sure first if your router supports it and what type.. and if supported by the VPN provider too..

Wonder whats wrong with my settings...

My Samsung KS7000 10 bits UHD panel cannot play 4K movie with Netflix. Always error regardless of Wired or Wireless. Other no issue in playing 4K like youtube ...

But when connected through my PS4 Pro no issue. smooth n steady.

Using Unifi 30M.

Reads like TV software update. Check if you are running the latest firmware version. If so, try an app reinstall or factory reset.

thanks for the info guys

if base one what andrew said, then all these while i have been watching 4k and hdr, because thats what it was being shown below the title everytime

not very impressive to me though
*
Hmm, no offense but you sure your TV set isn't the K5500 as I can't find the KU5500 model even on Samsung's website. Plus there's no way the Samsung series 5 TVs will have HDR and even if it claims to be UHD..it'd be pseudo at best. Just saying, as proper UHD+HDR is definitely stunning.

ok, was watching black lightning season finale, got diff for hdr n non hdr

somehow this HDR looks like years back when watching on sony 120 hz motion flow dunno what, looks very artificial, like the whole show is shot on digital HD cam

not really used to it, prefer those grain dark movie feel

4k n 1080p still havent seen any diff yet, let go try other movies/drama
*
It's all good.. We all have our preferences. That's why when people looking for TVs, I always recommend to go see the panel with own eyes. Take along files in usb drive and beg seller to test the video playback. Choose which looks better to your eyes.

QUOTE(FunkyBass @ May 2 2018, 12:24 PM)
afternoon guys

i watching netflix on tv using hdmi connected to pc
then i notice color sometimes a bit different

for example swimming pool water look greenish in pc but bluish in tv

no matter how i play with setting at both side
cant get exactly same alike

izzit normal?
*
Not normal.. Seems like display driver issue. Check if using latest or problematic drivers and also try other HDMI cable and port. Make sure to use dedicated GPU if available instead of the integrated GPU. Most PCs default to using the weaker integrated hardware.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jun 2 2018, 11:48 PM)
What i read, netflix 4k is only 15mbps bit rate.

They require 25mbps to more than cover, or course.

A true bluray 4k will be at least 60gb for 2hrs which works out to be 67mbps.

Allowing for the poorer audio, the diff is is still obvious to the eye.

To really enjoy a 4k blockbuster, gotta watch bd, bdmv or bd iso.
*
Exactly.... No online streaming service as yet can serve up pure unadulterated 4K SDR/HDR. Not even YouTube which serves up the highest bitrate videos.. Matter of fact, many folks TVs out there are all running pseudo 4K video and not the real thing. It's no wonder some are unable to notice the very visible differences in PQ. To truly enjoy it as intended, all levels of AV equipment must be up to standard, down to versions of HDMI ports and cables.. Else..meh!

again, try it out once and you'll know. i'm watching newer chinese and japanese movies/series that are not showing on netflix msia.

i'm like you few months ago until i turned on the vpn.

Andrew memang don't like such workarounds.. To him, iTunes is enough.. Not for folks like us.. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Orzie @ Aug 17 2018, 10:49 AM)
Not sure if you guys are aware, but there is a request for title function on netflix website.
I had requested for Avengers movies and Dr Strange, and they were added few months later.

And I thought latest netflix app can detect VPN running in background?
*
Interesting.. Didn't know that existed.. Gonna send it out and place in some requests.. Thanks to you? I re-watched Dr. Strange last night.. thumbup.gif Plan to request for all prior Mission Impossibru movies.. Marathon before watching the latest.. Saves me downloading it from ehem sources..

Yes..can detect.. But it's more of their servers doing the blocking than the app. Fool their servers and you are good.
