Yeah.. Watched Good Girls.. It's not BB level, but still a good watch. Been following news and read that Season three actually began on NBC in the USA back in February 2020 and wrapped up after 11 episodes in early last month. So I expect it to be on Netflix soon. And yes, Season Four is approved..

Netflix does support UHD+HDR title playback... However, this is dependant on the TV and also No!.. Not all UHD labeled titles contain HDR metadata. Firstly, need to confirm that your TV's HDR is supported by Netflix.. In some "HDR10" TV's, the HDR mode is only activated when playing local files and not others..

The list is inconclusive (they list personally verified & supported models) and as such, not every "certified" device actually gets listed on the website. Manufacturers push out models faster than Netflix web devs can update.. Well, that or more apt, they don't care so much to list it all. but rest assured that when you buy from the big TV brands and the app is available for install from their proprietary app store? Then yes, you will get full res as promised. What you may not get is best support from Netflix due to it not being listed on their website.

I'm goign to be a tad technical here and point out that 4K =/= 3840 x 2160. That's actually "UHD". A consumer term that manufacturers conveniently dropped over the years, in favor of the more relatable term (read as makes them more money) 4K. True 4K, aptly described as 4K DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) is an industry standard and must be 4096 x 2160. So yes, millions of customers have been duped.. .. But at least some manufacturers try to be more correct and list their displays as 4K UHD. This makes more sense IMO. Cuz the term UHD can also mean 8K...and thus it's more appropriate to label as 4K UHD or 8K UHD. versus just UHD or 4K when it's not actually true 4K. Lastly, I would think this is part of the reason that Netflix marks corresponding titles as "UHD" and not 4K..Not entirely just due to streaming compression.. That be the proper term.

Agree to disagree about it not being important. You reread my post to get why. I clearly mentioned that the appropriate terms should be 4K UHD, 8K UHD etc. Which some manufacturers are following. So no! Just like SD, HD, and FHD, the UHD acronym isn’t useless and meaningless, at least not to folks like myself in the industry. It’s just like how most CSUVs are called SUVs when in reality or at least technically, it’s an inaccurate representation for them, because from an engineering POV, they are not full fledged SUVs. Just because marketing folks were “smart” or most consumers “less smart” to tell the difference, does not detract from the proper meaning of a technical term and or it’s appropriate meaning.

Umbrella Academy takes awhile to grow on you. It’s not a mind blowing series but it’s good. Season 2 IMO is where the fun actually is.

I keep hearing about One Punch Man and how great it is. But I never watched it. Cuz I’m like... Hits you with one punch and you dead. Not much there.. .. But who knows.. Same with One Piece.. all say great great.. My Anime watched list includes the classics:

Just started S1E1 of the new Space series “Away” on Netflix. Halfway thru and I’m definitely interested. See how that plays out.. You can check it out too. But whatever you do, don’t go watching “The Last Days American Crime”. It’s horrible..

Will you be able to access US content? Yes and No. Yes, if the Express VPN IP at the time hasn't been banned by Netflix. No, if it has.
Speed & Ping depends on various factors, server load included. Generally if you already have decent internet speed (say 100Mbps) and the server load isn't too high? You should still be able to stream easily off Netflix.
Netflix & VPN/DNS services play a cat & mouse game..So while Service A might work now, doesn't mean it'll work in a few months time or less.

Yep.. I would recommend Surfshark. They seem to know what they are doing where video streaming is concerned. You might have to hunt around their available servers though to find the specific one that’ll work with Netflix.. Personally, after Getflix couldn’t keep up... I too gradually quit chasing masking services that’ll work with Netflix USA. So I just stick with Netflix Malaysia & source the other stuff elsewhere.

Ethernet cable... Cable all the way for such matters.. Although, I also noticed you mentioned it’s the Sony x900h (Android TV OS). Personally and while I get the appeal, I’ve always shied away from TVs running some form of Android TV OS. This is because I keep reading about this issue la, that issue la.. Issues that stem from the fact that it is hard to “bend” the Android TV OS to perform as an all-rounder TV. Most of which you won’t find and or experience with similarly priced and feature equipped TVs BUT running proprietary OSes. TV brands like Samsung and LG. I’ve been using a 2014 Samsung TV and it still gets Netflix and YouTube app updates. Of course, no more actual firmware updates. Nevertheless, it’s always been smooth and stable max resolution playback. The initial/cold boot playback might take a few seconds to ramp up. But after that, FF, RW, or auto-loading the next episode or movie always starts at max resolution. My guess is that the app while playing end credits, is/has already smartly buffered the first few minutes of the next episode.

So I would recommend trying wired first. Most streaming or gaming connectivity issues are often resolved with a wired connection.

Yeah...Local Netflix with the TV app (wired always) .. Android box for anything else.. However, ExpressVPN is now the better option IMO..
