QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Aug 13 2016, 07:55 PM) u mean can replace the internal SSD with that 1TB? Yep. Our SSD is basically the only thing that you can upgrade now 😂 so that 1TB SSD is what I wanna get. I currently have 512gb and another 1TB SSD model. I want to upgrade it and use the 512gb one as an external drive

Getting Started

QUOTE(jumpstat @ Aug 13 2016, 03:10 PM) What sort of temperatures your mbp experiencing? Mine do get really hot whilst playing simulation games, can relly hear the fans at max speed but its about 2 years still ok . Around 50-60c when idling. And 60-80c when heavy internet, movies etc. Else when gaming like csgo..100+c. I guess its normal due to hot and humid room temperature.

Yes indeed as the whole outer shell is made of aluminium, thus it acts also like a radiator thus dissipating heat. With a shell, all the heat is contained except those that exits through the back. Try it with and without the shell, and you can notice a difference.

hi all,
just found out my mbpr got the anti coating stain issue.
read this "Apple will replace Retina displays on affected MacBook or MacBook Pro models for free within three years from the date of original purchase, or one year from October 16, 2015, whichever is longer." somewhere.
wonder anyone here changed theirs already? how was the TAT to get your mbp back? mine was not that bad but still an eyesore.

If you are thinking to run it naked but still want to protect it while carrying, check out my post on the sleeve I bought locally bro. Simplicity design and totally worth the price with the quality they provide. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=81230895

There are members here that have send in their rmbp for the 'stain' lcd issue. It takes somewhere between 3days to 1 week depending where you send it in. I can't remember where exactly but its listed somewhere in this thread where you can send in yours. FYI i plan to send in mine, but couldn't find the right time as I heavily use my labtop for work and can't go without it for too long. Some cases are very bad, and sme are minor... eventually need to be send in.
