hi, just wanted 2 hear u guys' opinion..
i bought a so-called original jersey frm ebay recently...
when i got it, it was quite disappointing for me...
i confronted d seller, who insisted it's original, but "rejected stock"..
so before i use strong language on him & say that it's a fake jersey..
could u guys give ur opinion?
if u al agree dat it's an ORI jersey.. then i'm satisfied...
here r d pics... thanx! i compared them with those on schmeichel7's blog...

From this 3rd picture (the stitching of the labels), it looks fake to me. However, please do take photos of the jersey inside out to get a better opinion. Fake jerseys have a white patch where the club logo is stitched onto the jersey.

Hi there..

It's confirmed 100% fake. You can argue with the guy who sold you the item. Can you pm me and give me his details, what is his ebay id? Is he a mat saleh or local guy?

People like this give bad name to ebay. It pisses me off.. You can actually try to negotiate with this seller, ask him for a refund while you return this item back to him. He should agree with it, if he's being fair. If he still doesn't want to negotiate with you, you can lodge a complain to paypal.

Here's my comments on the attachment pictures which clearly shows it's fake:

1. This is clearly fake. In the market, Grade AAA now have 2 size versions. One is XL (the popular one) and nowadays you can find M size as well. THERE ARE ONLY 2 SIZES that are being used in the Grade AAA @ fake world. There is no such thing as a Grade AAA jersey sized L, XXL, S or XXXL.

You can see itself, the printing quality is so poor. Cap ayam punya kualiti. Aku tengok dari jauh pun dah tau beb benda ni fake. Sizing is incorrect for M size, another feature of being a fake shirt. M size is NOT 45/47 inches. That is an XL size measurement. XXL are 48 inches and XXXL (my favourite one.. hehe) are 50/52 inches.

2. Embroidery is very poor. The words 'MANCHESTER UNITED' should be embroided nicely and sharply. Compare them to my jersey's club crest at my blog (http://christopherd4965-scam.blogspot.com)

3. These inner tags also shows that they are cheap immitations and are fake. The black square tag itself is fake. The red nike swoosh is poor. There is poor security thread sewn on the left side of the tag. Is there any serial number behind the black tag?

The inner tags should look like this:

4. This one is also clearly fake. Good thing that all Manchester United nike jerseys and training kits have a different grey tab. It should have been written with 'www.manutd.com' instead of 'www.nikefootball.com'. Only United products has this, because United was one of the pioneer football clubs to promote their own club website.

Check out on my latest purchase in ebay, United's blue training kit used last year (when they were still with Vodafone):

Even the training kit's label tag uses a grey tab written with 'www.manutd.com':

Tips when buying jerseys in ebay to ensure that it's original:

1. Ask the seller to show the inner tags, size and others first.
2. Jerseys with M and XL size have the risks of being fake ones.
3. Ask the seller if he agrees with policy of returning back goods if not satisfied with it and to provide full refund back later.
4. Not all mat salehs sells original jerseys (read from my bad experience to see it yourself)
5. Don't feel put off to buy ebay in future. It's a great way to buy and collect the hard to find retro jerseys and the ones not sold here. Just be extra careful!

Why not take some good pictures and compare it like Schmeichel did it? It will help your fellow Arsenal supporters much though.

If you know what you must look for to identify fake and ori, you won't get cheated that easily on eBay... but Lelong is a total heaven for fake sellers.... cry.gif

It is true that the best and safest way is to buy direct from sports shops in Malaysia. But sometimes there are rare items that are not sold any longer here. For example, United's training kit or the old retro jerseys. I'm doing a project here, where I bought an old Manchester United umbro champions league jersey (the one with 1 star at the club's crest). Later I purchased the umbro design letters and numbers of BECKHAM 7, bought the old Champions League starball patch and applied them onto the jersey. Then, I will send this jersey to a embroidery shop in KL and will ask the guy to have 'UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE THE FINAL 1999' onto the jersey. Making it look like it's the jersey worn in the finals. Haha...

Besides you can find XXXL size jerseys in ebay. But the risk is there. Yes, it is risky. For example, item bought is fake. In lelong.com, I tell you almost 99% of jerseys are fake. But you can investigate first by checking the labels, inner lables, tags etc. For nike jerseys, all have same criteria (black security tag, sizing info etc). Adidas should also be the same.

Another risk is that the item delivered via airmail doesn't arrive safely. Always insist of using International Registered mail. Meaning, the jersey will need a recipient's signature for it to be delivered by the postman. If no one is at home, the item is kept at Pos Malaysia's warehouse for your own manual collection. You only need to add extra GBP5-7 from normal airmail delivery rate.

I buy and sell football jerseys via ebay. So I know pretty well the world in ebay.

seller is local.. he's been insisting his stock is original..
should i confirm it with his supplier? (if he still doesn't wana admit)
there's no such thing as "reject" stock from nike, right?
don't think i've heard of that b4..

btw, contacted another guy who bought his jersey... he said it was doubtful, as d away kit should be made in indonesia, not [COLOR=red]morrocco..
(not too sure bout this)
but d fella go and give him good rating pulak.. doh.gif sigh, damn kepala sakit..

schmeichel7, haha, i have dat project in mind too!
plan 2 get last season's jersey & embroider "roy keane's testimonial"
then print KEANE 16 at d back.. rclxms.gif

so far i've bought 4-5 retro jerseys from ebay... all local seller & damn honest..
sigh, the moment nike came into d picture, all hell broke loose with d fakes jerseys..
will post pics of d inside & full shot of d jersey..
if d club crest was perfect, no prob... i'd treat it as original.. but one look & i was like (*^(^(#^#%(#^()&^!!!!! vmad.gif cry.gif mad.gif
