32" is too small. Won't enjoy. Get 37" or 40". 8 feet distance for 37" still ok.

32" is not that small actually b'coz it's still bigger than the widescreen picture you're getting from a 34" 4:3 aspect ratio CRT tv. Perhaps you can use this following website below as a guidance.

IMHO, the MBF promo is really a bargain. RM3,900 for 37". Wow!

The MBF offer really tempting.
RM3700 for Samsung LA37S81BX

RM100 per month for 37 months. Really value for money. The actual price you are paying is much less than RM3700 since paying monthly.

Any review on the item?

4300 for New cardholders (sign-ups to enjoy this promo), 3900 for existing cardholder, as per my confirmation with MBf's representatives.

Sorry. It's RM3900.

Is it the same one as:
http://www.samsung.com/sg/products/tv/lcdtv/la37s81b.asp

LA37S81B = LA37S81BX ?

Should be the same, it's still a S8 series.

Yes, it is the same the B denotes Black colour. The series is S81. So, BX and B is for the colour coding.

Frankly speaking, S81 performs as well as R7, if not better. Taking into consideration of the price factor, I would say it is indeed a 'steal'. No way you could get a branded 37" LCD tv at this price now. The 5" more seems only a little, but in actual viewing, it is indeed quite a lot bigger.

Sell off my 19" is also a possibility, since its surplus to requirements. I need to check the model. I think i bought it 3yrs ago, no more warranty. How much to let go? It's still a good unit, comes with DVI.

I wud like to get either plasma/LCD but am confused to which type to buy.
I heard that even if full HDMI, the reception for Astro is still only about 80% clear, is that true?
