if you have extra 444 then you can consider Sony's S200 or someplaces offering V200 at RM3999. 32" LCD. Think its quite sharp and rich in colors as it comes with S-PVA panels.

I ended up with Samsung's R81 32" which comes with a CMO S-MVA panel at RM3850. htkaki is selling at RM3800 if I'm not mistaken. Can check with him.

Not sure about other brands as I normally go for these 2 brands but inter alia, I find Sharp and Panasonic to be quite good as well. Maybe you can consider them as well?

Jusco seems to be offering 50% discount for hitachi plasma.

Yes, it will void the warranty as it is only meant for thier servive personnel to access it.

djdyks, Toshiba and LG is less than RM3K now. What cc are you using?

But sony is using samsung's panel ...
so better take samsung ...
went to ask some electrical dealers, they do not recommend 37" as it is a odd size, in future spare parts will be difficult to source

I am currently looking to buy a 32" LCD HDTV and has narrow my thoughts to a few things.

I heard that Toshiba 32" model 68 is coming out and supports Full HD which is 1080 resolution (whatever that is, it's better than the 700+ resolution I guess) but I do not know when will it be out or what price will be be. Most probably too expensive. I also heard that Toshiba's 32" Model 66 does not have a PIP feature, is that correct? That would not be very nice isn't it?

Sharp's 32" seems to be the only better LCD TV than other brands compared to Toshiba in terms of images and 4ms or 6ms performance. I think I can afford to pay RM200 extra for Sharp over Toshiba if that is so. If I am not mistaken, Sharp has 2 HDMI input too. Other than that, I don't hear aything else.

My use would be to connect my PC to the new TV using HDMI cables as a second monitor and it would be great to have a PIP while I surf the net. I was wondering if DVI cable can transmit audio from PC as well. If that won't do, I'll use a S-video and AV audio cables. My Astro would just use the AV cables input (Yelow, white and red cable). PC has DVI-I and S-Video out.

The market price for 32" Toshiba Model 66 I can get is at RM2,750. What is your comment on this? It would be great if you people can provide me a better solution or some advice of comparison. All other brands are welcomed as well.

Sharp's panel made in Japan ... and its 6ms
Sony is using samsung's panel ... so its made in Korea !
But i bought the Samsung S81 coz good deal ... !
