for investing in FSM with EPF money, i am a bit confused after reading FSM website. appreciate for some enlightenment

1. The EPF form, should we use original ones or we can print them? if need original form, i see FSM can mail the form. can ask to mail more copies?

2. i assume we need to mail hard copy to FSM to trigger the purchase?

3. are there cheaper alternative to the need to mail the doc? (handing the doc to epf office is not an option)

Depends on the client. If the client is DIY, only wants product then I'm a sales man. If the clients want advice and (re)structuring then I'm a con-sultan. If the client wants to setup a trust and i manage the positions then I'm a juggler lor.

I am now at Genting Highlands. I just came out from the casino but I didn't spend a single cent. The minimum bet for Pontoon or Blackjack is RM100. 20 years ago the minimum bet was RM25 or sometimes even RM10.

I did some mental calculation. The odds are better if I put RM10k into TA Global Technology Fund or AmPrecious Metals. In the worst case scenario, I may lose 20% of my investment in a few months. But in the best case scenario, I may earn 10% return in a few months. So better for me to buy unit trusts than to gamble at the casino. smile.gif

As far as I know EPF investments need hard copy, as the original 9N form needs to be sent to EPF for verification.

heheh - my opinion & statistical reality i think (casino owners legal/illegal & workers intheknow, please correct my assumptions below ya)

those are funds' POSSIBILITIES only but very low PROBABILITIES in the long run
COMPARED to
Casinos'
55% or more probability to lose EACH TOTAL BET
45% or less probability to win of EACH TOTAL BET
ie.
the longer U play, the higher accumulated probability to lose and total sum bet in casinos
VS
the longer U play, the higher accumulated probability to win or NOT lose the total sum bet in funds

yes yes, old farts like me knows Mr Kenny as a singer first before grilled chicken/roasters sweat.gif

You go to casino for entertainment. You don't go there with expectation to win.

I used to play slot machine with expectation to lose, and I set a maximum amount of money I would spend, e.g. RM50. Call this entertainment fee. Once this amount was used up I would stop.

How can I determine the odds of flat betting (no counting, no progressions , etc ) of being ahead in a negative game such as blackjack, w/o counting, with a 0.5% disadvantage after 45,000 or so hands? Is it even possible?

Any basic statistics book should have a standard normal table which will give the Z statistic of 0.8186. So the probability of being ahead in your example is about 18%.
http://wizardofodds.com/ask-the-wizard/bla...ck/probability/

rclxms.gif yes...Kenny Roger's word is true. "U gotta know when to hold 'em, Know when to walk-away, Know when to run"...applies to UTs investment too.
