As said u are holding 11 cc.,in the event you want to apply mortgage loan or personal loan or even business loan, will it effect your credit score ?any difficulties to apply
*
Well, so long my CCRIS scoring is good and banks will evaluate my commitment vs income. Anyway, I'm not applying anything now, if I do I may request banks to reduce my credit limit or worse comes to worst, I will cancel some if that really affects.
Anyway, many of the forummers here have about the same number of cards with me or more than me but still get their loan approved.

It's No Problem to get loan(Approved) with Bank if you holding Multiple Credit Cards.
As my Case, they Offered Me PL of RM100-150K thru phone Straight Approved, No question ask , but I reject their good decent Offer...

FYI , I got 14 CC+ Amex Charge Card from across 7 Banks

hi sifus. which is the best card to pay assessment with. I have:

Maybank cards 2 Amex (no more 5x points for govt spend)
Public Bank Visa Signature
Maybank Visa Signature
Aeon watami (I think no use now)
CIMB cash rebate plat master
Citibank Business Platinum cashback (cannot get 1% cb anymore for local spend)

The reason I ask is that I have many family assessment bills to pay and want some benefit via cashback or points.
Will probably charge around 15k I think the shortlist is between Amex, MBB VS and PB VS.

It is not a new rule. Already existed back in 2011. However, it only applies for those with annual income of RM 36k and below, they cannot have more than two issuing banks' cards. For e.g., you can have few HLB cards and few UOB cards even below RM 36k, because still two issuing banks, not two cards actually.

There are many factors which affect the credit card application actually, not only because of income.
Have you tried checking your CCRIS especially if you have PTPTN?

MIRI: Holders of credit or debit cards must start replacing their signature-based cards to the new ones that use PIN (personal identification number) before the anticipated rush as the year-end deadline looms.

I did not apply any PTPTN, the only loan I have is House and Car loan. My CC outstanding always clear every 2weeks.

Maybe your commitment is too high vs income? Not sure. First step, to check out your CCRIS score.

Get my second card from PBB - PBB AIA Credit Card.

Called to active and set the PIN number successful, and cancel the first credit card - PBB Petron Credit Card.

After that, login internal banking to add my card into my account, saw that the PBB Petron card has cancelled, so fast it already reflected thumbsup.gif

Easiest is to go to Bank Negara as it is a kiosk, you just need to insert your MyKad and scan thumbprint then you will get it instantly. Else, you can request. http://creditbureau.bnm.gov.my/reportobtain.html

Hi everyone, I remember that was a thread provides a sample email/letter to request for increasing the credit limit - Does anyone still remember? Can you show me the link?

Thank you very much.

Just a simple note saying you want to request for credit limit increase and hope they will consider. Attach 3 months latest payslip, that's all.

Fruitie, no offense but I would have done that if it's simple note. I prefer something more official and formal letter because my case is abit tricky.

Then you gotta draft it yourself. I don't see any draft in this section. We just send them a simple email with latest 3 months payslip. Good luck. biggrin.gif

It's been years I've stayed away from applying credit card.

Recently, there are a lot of HSBC promoters promoting their credit cards at Midvalley, the procedure was easy, only put my MyKad in a device just to generate my EPF statement for application and the next thing I knew, it got approved.

My question is, is there any other CC application that easy? Just only use my IC/MyKad.

I would like to try.
