The thickness of VG can also change depending on the heat that it has been exposed to. Some people leave VG under the sun to make it more diluted before brewing. If you're using heat to dilute VG, it will still be sweet despite not being as thick as it used to be. If you're buying pure VG, it should be think and sweet in taste. But if it's not so thick and not that sweet, it could also be AG (Aqueous Glycerine). AG sometimes is also used in brews and it's also safe to consume as it's just mixed with distilled or de-ionised water. The ratio of AG is 85% VG 15% water. Vodka can also replaced with water in making AG which will help in giving a little throat hit if you're making max VG juice.

1) Heat & VG thickness- That's why I wrote "Assuming you tested/tasted the various VG's at the same temperature,", in case u didn't notice.

2) Exposing VG to sunlight does NOT make it "diluted". When VG is heated by the sun or any other heat source, its viscosity increases.

3) We were talking about VG, not AG. If one buys a product labelled as Vegetable Glycerine and finds it thinner and less sweet as the normal product, it's just wrong, plain and simple.

Hello all sifu, first of all congrats on v31.. And because it's v31, I'm sorry i can't read all the story. Actually, I'm just a beginner, opps, maybe can only say wannabe.. Cos i want to get myself a vape set, but don't know what to look for.. Previously i had one experience of using ego vape only.. But it's not performing lar.. Now want to buy one, but there is so many brands in market, so many specs.. So, to make my life simpler, i wonder if there's any sifu here can terus recommend me which brand or model is worth buy.. Worth means, of course i would like it cheap and affordable, but also have to balance out the safety and durability.. So, sifu sifu, please enlighten me.. What should i concern when buying vape set? Also, those e-liquid, how do i know it's a safe to consume wan? Do they come with cert? Tvm

My first e-cig was in 2009 and I've never used a current starter kit before, so I can't recommend u any from personal experience.
What I can do to help is suggest 2 good mods which are reasonably priced: the IPV 4s and the Joyetech Evic VTC mini. Use them properly and they'll serve you well. Whichever mod you buy, I strongly suggest that it has removable batteries (easier for u if u have to take a plane ride), and that the firmware can be upgraded (so that you won't be stuck in a dead-end).

Quality batteries and a reliable charger are also important.

There's a huge range of tanks and drippers out there for u to choose from. If you have vaper friends, ask them to let you try what they have and see if it suits you taste. For me, a good tank/dripper is one which can produce good vapor and decent flavor without having to resort to fancy coils or drilling holes (but fancy coils can be fun at times!).

With regard to e-liquids, you'll get better surety of safety if you mix your own because it's still a jungle out there in terms of regulation and safety standards. Fakes of name-brand juices are known to exist too.

It's to your advantage to find a vape shop owner who can guide u responsibly and make sensible recommendations for all your vaping needs ( and not try to sell u the slow-moving products). If you're near SS15 SUbang Jaya and have some time, pop into Vape Empire; they'll be happy to answer your questions on vaping and there's no obligation to buy anything. I can recommend that place because I've seen and heard them treat customers very decently before.

Rule of thumb:
1. Stick with the mainstream brand ie. Smok, Joytech, Kangertech, P4U etc
2. Use reliable battery from a trusted vendor. Do not use unknown brand of batt and charger
3. Regarding ejuice, nothing is "safe" since still more research is needed. Vaping is relatively new. Some may contain diacetyl if creamy. If you're really paranoid about safety then stick with US juice that has been lab tested.

Checked with him the other day. He said that it was a mistake by Shopee. Didnt elaborate. I suppose it was 30% discount with no cap - done by Shopee. He said if restocked, wouldnt be 400plus. 650 at least. So if he did honour those few sales, #untunglaaah them buyers.

I've seen this its another case of 18650 direct short NOT the mod itself.
So technically non vape related, just someone carrying spare batteries together with conductive items.

For the DIY-ers, have you encountered this problem when your juice tastes good in a dripper but in a tank, it completely changes. Had a good time with a 'popular' recipe on my derringer but the moment it goes into the kayfun (v4 and lite v2), the flavor turned shitty. Never had that issue with juices bought from the store :/

I am not a brewer. But I experience a tingle in my throat (during exhale, not inhale) that makes me cough when I vape in tanks. This is however only 3 or 4 puffs out of 15 or 20. Occasional. The dripper during testing has no problem. And it taste more subtle too in drippers. Anyone knows what went wrong with my tank?
