QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Dec 17 2015, 09:12 AM) I am using IPV D2, with LG HG2 battery. I am vaping with power mode, double twist kanthal coil at 0.4 ohm, 12W, 2.19V. Is it safe for my battery in terms of durability? Also, I am experiencing in loose of "power" when the battery is at half level. Also, anyone on Ann's brew here? I am vaping the green tea, but 4 or 5 out of 10 puffs, I get throat itchy when I exhale. Anyone experienced this before? for a 0.4ohm coil, you should be firing at at least 20watts to be on the safer side, this is to prolong ur battery life. as of now, ur firing style is under volting the battery and the risk of damaging the battery is there.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Dec 17 2015, 09:47 AM) Probably different manufacturer. Both still USP grade, should be fine. Yeah but it makes me hard to gauge the sweetness.

But somehow I loose flavour at higher wattage. Lets put it as I don't really like the flavour at that wattage. What do I do?

QUOTE(jameslionhart @ Dec 17 2015, 09:43 AM) DIY-ed sekalian. I noticed something yesterday. The VG I bought from Flavorist is thicker and sweeter than the one I bought from Vapeq. Is it me or memang like that? It's not you. The density, viscosity and taste/sweetness levels of PG/VG can vary from supplier to supplier. Once you find a few good and honest sellers, stick to them. If you're particular about flavor, it pays to test-vape some pure PG/VG with each new batch. Over time, your taste buds will tell u what's good, what's not so good and you'll be able to adjust levels of sweetener vis-a-vis your VG sweetness levels. If u want put a figure on things for greater accuracy, then you'll have to look into using stuff like a hydrometer, rotational viscometer and refractometer/brixmeter.

So far I've no problem to bring along vape kits with me travel over many countries.
I understood Singapore bang vape nationwide, just curious would it be okay for boarding security check with my mod and battery in hand carry when making a transit via Singapore.
Any bros have knowledge or experience on this, please advise? Many thanks!

Normally I put a drop on my finger and test with my tongue. I guess I will test pure VG or PG on dripper next time as well to really find out the differences. But.... whats the definition of good PG and VG? My first purchase is from a bakery and it feels pepperish, second purchase from Flavorist which taste sweet and thick whilst the third purchase from Vapeq it taste less sweet, less thick and somehow taste clean. I really don't know how to explain. LoL

I really don't know how to explain. LoL Pepperish-tasting VG/PG? That may be good for a black pepper chicken/steak flavor juice But I'd stay away from stuff like that. If I encounter a runny VG, I'd be reaching for a hydrometer. Assuming you tested/tasted the various VG's at the same temperature, I'd reject the less thick one. I don't want to cast any shadows over someone's business, but a "clean" tasting and thin VG may be the result of dilution. Such adulteration may not necessarily be on purpose, and could stem from improper storage. Glycerol is hygroscopic and is also used as a humectant. In our high humidity climate, an uncovered container of the stuff would be gobbling up moisture from the air. If I wanna add water to help smooth out a juice, I'd rather use DIY distilled water, not ambient humidity! Stick with the sweeter and thicker stuff.

I am vaping the green tea, but 4 or 5 out of 10 puffs, I get throat itchy when I exhale. Anyone experienced this before? I think it could be due to D2 lack of step down feature. How was the vapor production at 12W when using freshly charged battery? And this vapor 'quality' was reduced as you vape along till about half battery level right? If that's the case, this confirm the lack of the above feature. You thought you were running 12 w 2.19 v but actually the mod is firing at 40w (on fresh batt). As the battery goes to 3.7v, it'll fire at 34w. 3.4v gives you 29w. That could explain the 'power loss'. more on that below. https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/thr...ep-down.692979/
