which lecturer shd i go for the revision / intensive class for paper 2.3, MYS taxation???

I know that it is quite impossible to go in to Sunway college, but in between Kasturi, SEGi,PAAC,FTMS, or others, which one is better??

pls le me know and to decide on my revision class...thanks alot of friends!

which country accept int reporting?

erm, btw, we don't have a local stream of FR and audit...

and international FR is widely accepted. M'sia for instance, uses a slightly modified version of international standards, so don't worry about it.

besides, accounting treatment and formats don't differ significantly country to country, with the exception of certain things, of course.

any1 hv details on ksa's revision class timetable?

no lar.. i meant she take diploma when she was in her 20's lar.. lolz.. u funny lar.. my mom worked long time edi leh.. but anyway.. thanks.. so now.. i gotta think should i get CAT or diploma in accounting.. tat's a headache man...

But, how in the world do we suscribe for Accamail. The link in myACCA goes to a library webpage. Bad link i suppose? Anyone recently applied?

I cannot locate acca past year exam paper from the acca website.

accamail subscription? never heard of that before. if u a registered acca student, any updates like talks or workshops, they will inform you as well as student accountant. i never subscribe any mailing stuffs.

seems like only pilot papers are available since we in new syllabus. may i recommend you to get the revision book if you need previous syllabus papers if related

i called up and asked them, and they repled that the revision timetable will be made available by wednesday.

Added on September 30, 2007, 1:39 amapparently, ACCA UK had been inefficient in processing enrolments for new students, some even haven't been registered as students.

So a problem in the website is still pardonable.

By the way, while in CAT and in the old syllabus, I'm taking Malaysian variant, so in this sitting should I be taking the same variant or do I take the International variant ?

u can only subscribe to accamail after u log in to ur 'myacca' account.. Anyway, trust me, u wun like the accamail, inbox damn small plus poor mail services...

U are not recommended to use firefox.. Anyway, i dun see anything wrong in ur exam registeration form..

I think most of u have the same confusion.. Plz allow me to clarify here..

Plz do not mess up VARIANT and STREAM, it has different implication..

VARIANT is for tax and law papers only.. Since law are varies from country to country, there are quite significant differences in different variances.. You may only choose MYS or UK variant (xcept u wan spore or others country).. There is no such thing as "international variant".!!

STREAM is for accounting (F7, P2) n audit papers (F8, P7).. You may choose MYS or international stream, well it makes no different since malaysia follows IFRS (international standard) except for very few circumstances which is not examinable.. So whatever stream u choose, makes no different (except for seat allocation during exam), just depends either u prefer IAS and FRS(M) or ISA and AI in the case of audit papers..

Other papers like costing n finance do not have any variant or stream.. The box in ur exam registeration (INT and MYS) is meant for u to choose the stream.. "if you wish to change your selected variants you should notify acca in writing when you send ur examination entry form" quoted from acca..

Mistake wor ! I know that there are no International variant, but got confused coz the initial is INT maa ..




Erm .. But then P6 is tax paper right ? It is the 2.3 old syllabus wor ..

As said, the initial INT that you saw is meant to be "international stream", which only applies to accounting n audit papers.. your variant will fixed even when u register to acca as student.. however, u may wish to change ur variant by writing (if exam entry by postage) or when u registering exam online (just below the link of chosing the exam centre).. Those boxes for you to thick (INT and MYS) are streams..

So while in CAT i took Malaysian variant for tax and also law ..
So now I should tick Malaysian variant also la eh ?

F6 is the the new syllabus for 2.3
F9 is for 2.4
What about F7 & F8 then ?
