ya ya. i'm also the philip woo student. it is so early now to make decision on ur notes. pls don worried . it just first lesson only on audit risk. read the bpp text book and read and try to do 4 or 5 past year questions on audit risk is enough already. audit risk questions are almost same 1. can tackle 1. we can decide it in future when we faced more difficult chapters like internal control.

ha ha, just my opinion only. icon_rolleyes.gif

If I m not mistaken, I think beside the re-registration fee, a person wil need to pay the annual subscription fees fr where he/she stopped previously. Let say if a person din pay the subscription fees fr 2001 onward & he/she wishes to re-register in 2007, he/she wil hv to pay the annual subscription fees fr 2001 up to 2007 (7 yrs).

I think the reason why ACCA implements this step is to avoid student/member to skip annual fee for the year he/she dun wanna take any exam etc.

In short, ACCA is like a life loan. U need to pay the fees when u r student or member. The only way to skip is to ask your company to pay for it, at the time u retired or when u got ur MIA membership, drop ACCA membership coz MIA membership cheaper. nod.gif

perhaps you can take a look at setapak area (ie: prima setapak condo, pelangi condo, setapak ria condo, desa setapak area etc). there are many students house available. it just takes you around 30 mins to town by bus.

me myself is staying at taman miharja (miharja LRT station). very convenient. just 15 mins travel time to town by LRT. smile.gif

plz refer to the first post for "preferred lecturers" for each paper.. Financial reporting recommended lecturers are haneef (ksa), joe fang (ksa), and menon (sunway).. comment on haneef, "boring, yet informative"..

Im afraid LCCI cert does not entitle for any exemption for acca, u need to complete all 14papers in full.. tarc does offer acca, internally handled, by taking their diploma in accounting.. ptptn loan, u ll get it done once u register to tarc..

Another route to be considered:
LCCI cert ---> CAT advanced level (5papers/6mths) ---> ACCA fundamental lvl (F1-F3 exempted)
