Hi all! I m new to tis forum, been following the posts here for quite sometime b4 I decided to join in...

The way Philip said in P1 class last Sun remind me of Menon, quite similar, no handphone & mus take the mock exams... so, not scare of him yet...

No, I mean the way Philip try to make us study is same with Menon...mus take mock tests, mus pass tests, no HP durin class etc etc...

Menon is good n Philip is good as wel. Tis sem I take P2 in ksa, Joe Fang coz Sunway is too expensive + Joe Fang also good...

Further, I think the class is too crowded in Sunway which I dun like to sit far behind, can't c coz after work, sure reach ther later than FT students if class combined...

I begin to like ksa coz the price is reasonable, timetable , not too many hours of class, can pay by instalment, notes are including inside the fees & I can reach there in time to avoid sit very far behind. However, the drawback is I hv to drive there n pay for the parking fees. Anyone wanna car pool? I stay around OUG, Sri Petaling & Happy Garden...v share share the traveling exps...

Sunway is good in term of study environment, parking free (provided u park at outside shoplot area), study texts come with the fees & lectures cover almost the whole syllabus. However, drawbacks r expensive, notes are charged separately, too long hours etc...

If u decided to move to OUG, Happy Garden or Sri Petaling area, perhap I can fetch u hm if our schedules are the same.

If anyone wanna tumpang n stay around those areas mentioned above, then i can fetch coz I park inside the building.

Added on July 23, 2007, 1:43 pmI m takin P3 too at ksa. ya, ytrday rain heavilly durin lunch time. Luckily I brin 2 umbrellas wit me. Lent one to my frens. U n HBK PT or FT? If PT, then 2day i shall meet u guys again. Usually, I sit wit my two female frens. Ytrday is 7th row at left.

Next time got chance let meet up in class lol...

If I m not mistaken, I think beside the re-registration fee, a person wil need to pay the annual subscription fees fr where he/she stopped previously. Let say if a person din pay the subscription fees fr 2001 onward & he/she wishes to re-register in 2007, he/she wil hv to pay the annual subscription fees fr 2001 up to 2007 (7 yrs).

I think the reason why ACCA implements this step is to avoid student/member to skip annual fee for the year he/she dun wanna take any exam etc.

In short, ACCA is like a life loan. U need to pay the fees when u r student or member. The only way to skip is to ask your company to pay for it, at the time u retired or when u got ur MIA membership, drop ACCA membership coz MIA membership cheaper.

Jst my personal view, not recommend to self study unless u attend the classes b4 for any ACCA subject. I got some frens self study for paper 3.4 n pass at 1st setting las time but now no more 3.4 liao.

However, if really wanna self study n choose btwn P1 & P3, I wil choose P3. P1 more on memorising Corp Govt matters and apply into case study. For P3, more on management models / approaches and apply into case study + use lots of general knowledge & sometime include ratios analysis as well. Shd attend the revision classes at least for any self study subject.

Remember tat one female auditor told me b4 las time, ACCA is very easy to study, everyone can pass unless u really stupid. I doubt her stmt, or maybe I really stupid lor...

Anyway, someone told me that ACCA means "Again Come Come Again". That's why many ppl keep on repeatin the same subjects again n again including myself .

I believe u r UK degree holder, rite? Me too, got exemption for some subjects. However, some subjects require some knowledge fr the exemption subjects, tat's why degree holders might need to study harder...

Dunno bout sunway coll, but u can take revision classes only in most of the coll in KL, eg ksa, McO etc.

For P1 & P3, the revision fees in ksa are ranging fr RM220 - RM450, depend on which package n which lecturer u wanna attend. Mus clarify a bit, I m not a staff ther ya, hehe... but I study ther tis round, tat's why I know the fees... Not tryin to promote anything, jst for ur ref.

Coz u said u got exemptions mah, me too, got exemptions for 6 subs las time, so I m quite sure u r fr UK degree lor...

I m takin P1, P2 & P3 rite now, all in ksa coz the time wil clash if I choose to study in a few colleges.

ksa is in KL, near to Petaling Street or Klang Bus Stand. 15-20 mins drivin distance fr PJ if no jam.

Wher r u studyin rite now? I guess shd b Sunway Coll, rite?...

P1 is a newly introduced subject startin fr tis sittin...

P3 is similar to 3.5 las time, only minor changes...

P4, P5, P6 & P3 (P3 only a bit cal.) - combination of calculation + theory

P7 & P1 - purely theory

For the optional papers i.e. P4 - P7, if need to choose 2 papers, then I wil definitely choose P5 1st...

P4 = 3.7 (killin paper)
P6 = (discountin paper, marks usually lower than ur expectation)
P7 = (repeatin paper, need to repeat 2 to x times to pass)

No more 3.4 liao under optional papers, if stil got, tat wil b my 1st choice of all...

Sunway is an exam centre for ACCA, other areas in Klang Valley r Unity College in PJ, Sedaya in Cheras, TAR College in Setapak etc etc. U can check through the exam docket which list the exam centres...
