for you information this company located at mcorange institute,the price is also cheaper than online ordering,MPH bookstores,kinokuniya book stores

but you must become a FTMS student in order to get a discount

and if you are studying at paac college,you can rent the bpp study text for RM50 in one sem,you dont need to buy,just rent it,the paac college will refund you money after the exam,providing that u giving back their book

for other material and references,especially for tax,law,financial reporting,audit paper

i think you better have a look at universiti malaya bookstores which is called "pekan buku"

at this bookstores you can get malaysian taxation(dr choong kwaii fatt) for only rm126 compare to kinokuniya or mph which is rm140

for example,recently i purchased "financial accounting and reporting" which is WRITTEN by BARRY ELLIOT&JAMIE ELLIOT,the publisher is financial times

i purchased only for rm 88 at pekan buku universiti malaya whereas at kinokuniya the price is about RM285

thats so expensive for the same book,which is you've been cheated if you purchased it

the audit book is also a cut price between rm 10-15

so its a lot of discount

so my advice,if you want to buy a lot of reference books,please have a look at Universiti Malaya,if the stock is not available you can order from them,giving the details the book that you want

Hey littlediana.....don't you mind me to ask you that it is your first semester here to study acca?
Don't so nervous about those textbook and revision kits matter......
Since you are study at Sunway university college, they will provide you bpp textbook after few weeks later n bpp revision kits during the revision time......
imo I think ms menon notes is more than enough for you to score in the exam instead of passing the paper only......her notes is complete and clear......don't you think so?
Last time when I am doing my CAT, I never rely on the textbook......what you need are: lecturer notes, pass year questions set and revision kits.....
In fact , I want to tell you that most of the questions in the revision kits are copy directly from the past year questions......so why do you want to waste your money......

Those who want to purchase bpp textbook and revision kits attention here......you all can photostat from the KSA instead of buying from mcorange......trust me.....it is very cheap......only about RM15 to RM25 only......depends on the pages of the book......

my sister's friend use 5 years also havnt completed her acca 3rd part..it makes me shiver everytime i think about it...is it really that hard?

im graduating this month and maybe join to UTAR nx intake (which is january if im not mistaken)

sigh..should i just take advance diploma and then ACCA or should i take degree instead? degree is expansive and i have to work really hard to save up some money..sigh

for Group 2....it wil b nite clas on monday n tuesday....

for nex wek oni....Group 1 wil b having nite clas on monday nite...n G2 wil b havin clas on tues nite....
wednesday no clas....thursday 1st slot is for Group 1....n d 2nd slot is for d G2 students....

afta nex wek...G1 wil b d day clas...n G2 wil b d nite clas....

anyway, is there anyone taking F8 Philip Woo's class tomorrow? lol... we've a long day of class, so anymore LYN members planning to show up? ^^
try to SPOT each other, wahaha... spot for me - tall, bespectacled, short hair, usually sits outside @ couches before class starts...

hahaha... so far i've meet up 2 of them - Zoeee & aserli... nice

after starting ACCA for 2 weeks , my comments on lecturers :

F4 - Mr Viknes
He's very funny and i bet u cant help from laughing during his class . he likes to tell "yellow" jokes , even he also cant help laughing sometimes . i thought F4 would be very bored but it's totally different as what i thought . i could remember the case law easily after he explained in his own way . lolx

F5 - Mr Low Chin Ann
IMO , Mr low teaches well . i ady sticked the his teaching style . about 70% of the topics in F5 ady covered in CAT lvl , so i've no worries .

F6 special - Mr Low Chin Ann
Highly recommended to those ady acquired tax knowledge in CAT lvl . Most of the topics in F6 ady covered in CAT . if u follow Mr low 's class , u wont feel bored as he wont teach as detail as we did in P9 , instead , u'll be practicing more Qs .

F7 - Mr Yap Kok Wah
IMHO , i dont like his class . i dont think he's funny nor dedicated . his jokes was lame . i'm so regret for not attending Joe fang or Ms Goh's class in KSA . haihz. so im thinking of going to KSA for 2nd term .

Joe Fang for F7 class is so22 interesting ...i like Joe fang style of teaching..The way he teach Conso is great..During my diploma time i hate consolidation..i couldnt understand what my lecturer teach during those days...But with Joe fang style, i able to understand the Consolidation....
Tomorrow is phillip woo class...wah half a day ..gosh, i hope i dont get zzzzzzzzzzzzz la....audit some more ...adoiii

yea, Zoeee told me in the lift that it was FUN... lol, i could hear people around us in the lift were giggling... so funny, only both of us talking in the lift... waha, Zoeee you're really awesome!

i think is better to take adv diploma and take acca at the same time as even u take utar degree..end up u might want to take acca..which is double money and time again..

no......you can directly go to the photostat room and tell the guy there which book you would like to photostat.....then you can collect the book after one or two days......

is it true??? i am KSA student also i dont know about it...i was thinking of buying F8 Bpp...since u said At Ksa can photocopy..then i should consider it la...to whom, i should ask about that>? is it at the counter?????

since you have study your F7 with ms menon......trust me......if you follow her instruction and do all her homeworks......you even can score in F7.....and the passing rate for this paper at sunway is very high......ie 85%++......
You need to attend about 60 lessons for menon class which compare to those other lecturer only 24 lessons something......so there is no point for you to fail the paper......trust the lecturer and your ability too......

another thing....Pekan Buku @ UM...for non UM student can buy books from there??? where is it actually?? in UM area it self?? i think i want to have a look la..seems The taxation book is much cheper there rite???

BTW:: Obu can be done together with part3 papers rite?? i think i want to do my OBU together with my 2 optional paper..Then , i will have more time to concentrate on that thesis...while studying for 2 paper left....
