Reporting in from Nozawa Onsen!

Travel time was brutal - 6+ hr flight then 3 hr train then 30 min bus. And it's cold as hell up here in the hills. It's OK though, ski time!

Haven't touched a ski pole or a ski boot for I think 12 or 13 years, so consider not too bad lah.

It snowed today which was kind of cool and yet also annoying to get all the snow in your face when you're going down a slope.

Hi Guys,

I have booked a studio in Kyoto from 26 May to 30 May 2016 and the host provide us with bicycle.

Would like to know what kind of weather to be expected on the said period of time? And is it suitable for cycling?

I Googled and the average temperature is 14 celcius low and 24 celcius high.

Golden week means the 1 full week, Japanese are having holiday.

Same story as if we have long holiday in Malaysia. Most places will be crowded. Even accomodation also hard to find.

Japanese are Holiday too.
Transportation will be fully booked. Almost impossible for you if plan to City Hopping.
Onsen Village area such as Hakone will be very crowded.
Hotel price will twice expensive.

The good thing is that there are more "things" to see and you will feel the carnival atmosphere. Also there might be some sale as well. For me, I just stay at home and watch TV as I hate crowds.
