Just got back from Osaka & Kyoto.  Please dont bother with any pass if you only visit this area.   Just buy the ICOCA Haruka card (macam our TouchNGo but incl Express Train from airport to osaka/kyoto) and thats enough.  Those passes are overpaid cos you will end up use train, subway and buses and those pass dont cover all this cos only cover train/rail saja.    And on most areas, you will be walking alot from one place to another even.  Just enjoy the trip and dont think of saving pennies when you already spend pounds.

And oh ya, the queue at KIX counter on the 1st floor is pretty long if you touch down around 6-7am in the morning.  So be prepared to queue for 1 hr at that time.   If you arrive after 9am is better cos more counters are open.  FYI.

Going to Gala Yuzawa is not cheap either. You can consider this pass : https://www.jreast.co.jp/e/tokyowidepass/

For Takayama, I would suggest to take bus smile.gif

Go do some googling yah

Thanks! Looks like a great pass...I wonder if I can get to Gotemba using this pass..

Nope, you can't. But this pass covers Nikko, Mount Fuji and Yokohama. May be you want to consider this places too because the single tickets are not cheap. But unfortunately this pass is also valid for three consecutive days only. So plan your itinerary well! All the places I mentioned can do daytrip from Tokyo smile.gif
Except for Takayama and Shirawaka-go. These two places best to stay 1-2 nights.

At Kyoto, recommend to use Kyoto City Bus & Kyoto Bus One-Day Pass
500 Yen only unlimited ride per day!

If you go to these these parks in weekdays it is doable to just spend one day each. Last time I went to Disneyland and Disneysea on weekday, manage to ride the major attractions inclusive few other rides. Just make sure to utilise the epass for disney theme parks.

You need to take 3 bus trip in a day to make the bus pass worth while. During peak season, buses are stuck in traffic and take long time to reach destination. So this is where the rail or subway comes into the picture. But if not peak season, bus is ok I guess.

Try to check out if the JR West Pass is more worth it. You can buy 1-day pass and do Himeji & Kobe on same day. I did Nara without pass - just buy rail fare to & fro, cheaper than any pass.
