Hmm, other than Vanilla Air and HK Express, any other flights that connect to HK from Tokyo? Too used to AA that requires additional top up on baggage, but I couldn't find details in the itinerary in both Vanilla Air and HK Express. Any idea how it works? Anyone travel from Tokyo to HK before? Thanks!

Just a question,

Still looking of mode of transportation for the schedule(mid to mid-end Oct) below.

day 1 airport(8am) - biei,2ppl
day 2 biei/furano/akasihawa,2ppl
day 3 biei - sounkyo,2ppl
day 4 sounkyo - sapporo,2ppl
day 5 sapporo,3ppl
day 6 sapporo - otaru - sapporo,3ppl
day 7 sapporo - jozankei - sapporo,3ppl
day 8 sapporo - airport(8am),3ppl

Seems like driving is much more flexible for this kind of trip?
i have look for toyata rent a car & nippon rent a car, the rate is almost like 55k~70k for 7 days. excluding fuel/parking.

Yeah, just that biei/furano/akashihawa/sounkyo that side seems like not that convenient if taking just JR alone. As well as Jozankei.
JR pass for 3 ppl 24000x2(7days) + 22000(5 days) = ~70kYen ad.
so, if car estimate P1 car around 55k~60k + fuel/toll/parking 15k = ~70~75k
mostly will go for car, any recommendation? rclxms.gif

Must follow this Rulez
http://www.japancycling.org/v2/info/rinko/rinko.shtml
Plus the famous line are full of people. If you bring bike inside, people will sound you badly. wasting alot of space.
Better don't. Not advised

Kyoto Bus system was so perfect. I prefer Bus than cycle Bike.

In Biei,
Hmm 6.5k per person, 2 person need 13k.
car rental also near 6.5k per day. So, i think i will go for car.

in otaru, i might consider this pass. 3 person x 1700 = 5100.

Thanks. Based on what I find, I guess the IIJmio sim would be best if I can get the 1GB 30 days one. According to their website can get at Narita airport. thumbsup.gif

Edit: Just saw JTB Malaysia sells them as well. Maybe tomorrow go check out the JTB booth near my office. laugh.gif

1gb can catch how many pokemons? 😆

This bmobile also not really unlimited as claimed. They throttle you down once you are over 1gb but they renew every three days

For bmobile you can choose the starting date for online purchase. If you buy at retail stores, the time starts when the store activate for you on the spot. How about IIJmio?

Haha. I'll download offline map with wifi before using the data sim. tongue.gif

IIJmio is more straightforward data only. No throttle speed but 1GB finish then finish, can top up though. I'm quite sure it only starts when you activate it. It's slightly more expensive here in JTB compared to airport price, I'm sure BIC and Yodobashi will be cheaper that airport maybe. But nvm la.
