what is the cheapest option to get mobile data in Tokyo?
I have U Mobile but that is Rm36 a day. What cheaper alternatives SIM card for data especially I can get in Japan. I read that you can even buy one at Yodabashi or Bic Camera.
I found this - http://www.bmobile.ne.jp/english/index.html
anyone use before?

i dont need voice or sms, only data

Thanks in advance

Depends on what you need, validity or amount of data..
When I need to use quite a lot of data for a day or two,I just use Maxis and run it on roaming plan
For my case,I need 80+ days of data,so I went for IIJmio Japan travel sim,2GB for 3 months, the cheapest I could find laugh.gif

i only need for 8 days of travel. unlimited data or less also can consider
im going to need it for just lite surfing and whatsapp
nevermind i think i will just get this at yodobashi - http://www.yodobashi.com/日本通信-JCI-...00001003114220/

Go Japan bojio!!!  vmad.gif

Most of the Airbnb units there provide free portable wifi egg.

Otherwise, you can also rent the wifi egg from airports when you arrive. If I recall correctly, was around RM20 a day or so. Depending on company.

Last time I help a friend to buy the travel sim also from Bic. But I can't remember how much already. It was this one: https://t.iijmio.jp/en/

Coming Tokyo trip, I'm just going for Airbnb units that provide wifi egg.

You see the bmobile seems cheaper.
I don't want rental for wifi eggs, have to carry, have to return. Very mafarn
Hotel got wifi but ....actually now come to think of it, do I need wifi when go jalan jalan? hmm.gif
I didn't have last time also

Ohhh. I didn't know that. Good to know.
Do you know roughly how much is the daily quota? Looks like I'll have to ask the airbnb unit owner before I confirm any bookings then.

Info and order here but they only ship to a Japan address like your hotel. Problem is it could take a couple of days
http://www.bmobile.ne.jp/english/index.html

So the best is go to a Yodobashi store and buy straight. This is for the nano sim. They also got microsim
http://www.yodobashi.com/%E6%97%A5%E6%9C%A...00001003114220/

You can get 8% tax free return and if you use Visa card you get another 5% off at Yodobashi and Bic

Pls check if your smartphone is in the compatible list

Thanks. Based on what I find, I guess the IIJmio sim would be best if I can get the 1GB 30 days one. According to their website can get at Narita airport.

Edit: Just saw JTB Malaysia sells them as well. Maybe tomorrow go check out the JTB booth near my office. laugh.gif

1gb can catch how many pokemons? 😆

This bmobile also not really unlimited as claimed. They throttle you down once you are over 1gb but they renew every three days

For bmobile you can choose the starting date for online purchase. If you buy at retail stores, the time starts when the store activate for you on the spot. How about IIJmio?
