ohhh just to inform u
since u r going on Nov, that mean Winter is Coming...
-> depend on your luck... if it snow on tat day, the second part of cable car might be close for the day

this is really bad if u planned to hike to mount top (really nice view, and freezing cold sweat.gif )
but dont be disappointed, u can be a little bit adventurous
-> u just need to hike it...
abit dangerous la... few ppl told me they to do it anyway
*
hahahha yeah. finger cross hope they open the ropeway for me. hahaha.. spending 2 nights at sounkyu

hehehe anything u wan to know?

---

even they open, u still have to hike another 1.5hrs minimum...
and since the road is icing, u might need to spent up to 2.5hrs

on the top of the mountains, i saw a hiker bring their own bunsen burner & coffee
seeing them drink the coffee, this is really first class enjoyment drool.gif

and try the town super spicy ramen after the hike, u will appreciate it
mayb sake too drool.gif
*
damnn... need to hike summore? worth it or not? hahahaha owh whyyy...
based on my routes that I want to cover.. is there any where else u want to suggest i should go that is nearby or i shud skip?

not much there...
onsen lor... this one hv to ask RC

and if u got car, can goto nearby waterfall... (in winter, frozen waterfall??)
tat one is also hiking... but abit better... 30mins? forget!!~

i go there for the autumn foliage  rclxs0.gif

---

seriously that place is crowded with PRC
in the morning u will see at least 10fully loaded bus  brows.gif

other than that, the felling there is quite relaxing
slow pace of life and enjoyable

but i cant comment on winter, i doubt u even wan to go out
*
wahhh why everything need to hike ah? so leceh wor...

feel like onsen trip  thumbsup.gif
but the furano route is abit odds, waste lot of time
and u dont hv jozankei

--
(alternative)
for scenic summer vacation, (summer fruit, sunflower, lavender, zoo)
you might wan to make a loop at central hokkaido
furano -> biei -> asahikawa -> hokuryu -> sapporo -> otaru
mayb u can squeeze jozankei (1/2day?) for some onsen

---

with car, everything is very convenient

after 4pm the sky will like 7pm here... 4:30=>8pm
@nite, road also no street light... only cat eyes
raining and fog is also very scary

but the most scaring thing is icing road,
with or without experience it will be very dangerous

take care
*
thanks for the advise. luckly last minutes managed to poison 1 guy fren to follow us. hahahah
will avoid driving after 4pm.
they do provide snow tyres for us. hopefully everything manageable.
why la night no street light.. haiyoo

I had many snow accident due to black ice.

Seriously just drive slow. Keep it avg 40km/h - 60km/h

I saw someone recommended Jozankei onsen to you...honestly, for me, it was boring...nothing much to see there except going for the onsens. The bus journey for one way was about 1hour++. If you're not into onsen, maybe can skip this. Head to the nearest ski resort if you wanna see snow i.e. Kiroro Snow Resort. If you really want an onsen experience, then Noboribetsu would be a better alternative wink.gif
*
nahh i dont think im going to jozankei onsen. place that we book at wakkanai, shiretoko an sounkyo already got onsen.
for noboribetsu also not going coz not enuf time.

Day 1 - airport to [U]Asahikawa[U]
Day 2 - [U]Wakkanai[U]
Day 3 - Abashiri/Bihoro, Lake Tofutsu, [U]Shiretoko[U]
Day 4 - [U]Shiretoko[U]
Day 5 - Lake Kusharro, [U]Sounkyo[U]
Day 6 - [U]Sounkyo[U]
Day 7 - Biei, Blue Pond, Furano, Shikotsu Lake, [U]Otaru[U]
Day 8 - Cape Kamui, Kutchan, [U]Sapporo[U]
Day 9 - [U]Sapporo[U]
Day 10 - fly back KL

are you going in winter? during winter, the pond turns into ice...and you want to cram so many places in Day 7? From Biei to Otaru, driving also need 3hours++ d...you go google map and study the routes first. To me, it's too cram d  hmm.gif
haha...for you ok la bcos you not planning so many places like yaniee in one day...besides, you're not going in winter mah
*
hahha ya anyway its just a plan only. so that we know where are we going. the real plan is to stop anywhere nice and take photo. hahaa
