Going to Japan this month? Dont forget to grab a Yokoso SIM before you leave. Best value for money and dont waste your precious holiday time looking for data sim cards.

Happy Hols and stay safe!

Checking in. I don't usually travel - but this time I choose to solo in Japan. Osaka, Kyoto, Hakone, Tokyo, Nikko in autumn (and winter). very fantastic!

1. Love the people - very friendly & helpful
2. Love the view - Mt fuji, Snow mountain, Kinugawa Onsen, autumn leaves
3. Hate - not having rubbish bins!

True. We should however get a list of internet sims in Japan up...

I used So-Net by Sony. Pretty easy and cheap. I got 1GB for 3000Y. Can get 3GB for 5000Y. Best thing - 30 days validity which means you're probably covered.

I have the same feeling before I go, but after going I think it's easy! Mostly I used google maps to get the best route. Then buy subway/bus passes if you're in city. Depends on where you go some passes are bargain but most arn't.

At Japan. Your Pocket , backpack , hand carry bag are your rubbish bin. Everyone at Japan do this way. They keep inside pocket until reach office / home then only dispose it accordingly recycle or non recycle.

I got it from KIX, but there's a list below.
http://www.so-net.ne.jp/prepaid/en/#buy

one minor point, make sure you know check which device doesnt work. Also you'll need to do some APN setting, so make sure you familiarize with your phone before going (else you dont have internet to help you!)

can buy from vending machine which I think it's cool
