I proposed to my parents for having family trip to Hokkaido during January which is snow season, but they afraid of cold and they suggest to go there on April. Is April a good month to go Hokkaido? It seems like the snow start melting and there is no snow skiing activities anymore. Anyone been to Hokkaido during April? What was it like? TQ

I plan to snow skiing in Hokkaido, if April was my travel date, I would probably going to somewhere else then.

sendo7 April still got snow in the mountains, still can ski. even potentially til may. But it is way past prime ski'ing season so you'll have less chance of fresh powdery fluffy snow and more chance of either melting, wet slush, or hard crusty semi ice.

Oh ya I experience it before like melting ice. Still can ski but no powder. Not fun sad.gif and slippery.
