Depend on how seller declared it. Both my V10 n this Mate 8 was declared as digital camera with value I remember about us100+
So both phones delivered to me directly and I need not pay any GST or apply sirim permit
If custom hold it is quite easy to apply sirim - I have posted a guide on Nexus6 thread page1 on how to do it. GST of 6% you can pay directly to courier company
Don't ever allow courier to apply sirim as they usually charge another expensive service fee of rm200-300 on top of the rm100 for sirim permit. Just do yourself all online

alright...lets hope spemall is smart on avoid tax. biggrin.gif

Reading GSMArena's review is better than reading PhoneArena's review.

PhoneArena's reviews suck banana balls, all are biased to Apple.
*
Haha.but gsmarena quality not so good for reviews. I never read/watch PhoneArena one. Another Pro Apple site is BGR and TheVerge.

I usually stick to non-company ones, like MKBHD, SomeGadgetGuy, QBKing77, etc.
But usually their device review is limited to popular ones/selected ones.

As for companies one, Android Authority(only if by Josh), TechnoBuffalo(only if by Jon) and Pocketnow(only if by michael fisher).

Oh and Anandtech(anyone is fine) hahahahaha.

I don't select or unselect any web reviews
Every reviewer view the product differently
Eg on camera evaluations, audio quality these are subjective
I will just take note of all their comments
As i am using the phone the best reviewer is myself for myself and my opinion could be different from another user!
To date only issues that slightly bug me is inability to install more font types n slow refresh of widgets on 3rd party launchers.
There is no perfect 10/10 phone yet. Every phone will sure has some weakness

I am happy with overall performance, app load speed, camera, display, audio quality, smoothness, battery life
Some reviewers criticize the default UI with no app drawers while some like it n said is a big improvement over previous versions. For me the default UI is perfectly fine with me though i do miss Nova extra features. The slow refresh of widgets on Nova makes me to choose back default UI.

Whatsapp notification bug now hitting me past 2 days. Seems is quite a common problem reported based on user feedback at XDA
Sometimes the whatsapp notification doesn't showup at status bar while it does at times. Anyway is not a critical issue for me
It was fine previously
My maildroid notification remains good

Finally some official news about it, been waiting it for a long time.

What I'm pissed off is that they're still not teasing the Mate 8, but instead keep advertising the Mate S.

I guess for the 4gb ram/64gb should be around rm2k.4-2.6k. I don't think HW can ask for higher pricing as many buyers has still little faith n confidence in the brand
I had used before Mate 6.1, X1, Mate 7 n now having P8max n Mate 8 - all these are good phones though they had some minor cons. There is no perfect 10/10 phone yet

It's Huawei, they will MAKE IT POSSIBLE. Remember the Mate S? The price is retarded until now, many people expected the price to be way lower lol.

My guess would be around RM 2799 - RM 2899 for the Mate 8 64GB. Therefore, our weakening currency would definitely affect the pricing.

thanks Sir, if 64gb up for sale at 2.4k, i dont mind waiting for the warranty local Hw may provide.

i have tried using P8 and it is somehow above my expectation on Hw phone...my bad that probably because of it pretty china name, previously i didnt tend to have any interest on its products tongue.gif

If Huawei chooses to go with that kind of price, then it would suffer the same fate as BlackBerry Priv.

Unless, RM 3099 for 128GB then it's okay lah. tongue.gif

WTF? Are you serious? If that's true, then it will be an instant buy for me.

For that price, all flagships prepare to get trumped by the Mate 8 lol.
