Email mobile@huawei.com giving them your phone details : Just a simple line to request unlock code

IMEI - first imei is enough
Serial Number
Product ID : To get this - Bring up the dialer and enter the characters below. An 8-digit ID will then be displayed.
*#*#1357946#*#*

You might need to remind them few times to respond to your request for unlock code
You can write email in English

BTW OLD news from Android Central - firmware B156 has already incorporated this Feb 1 security patch

What's the matter with FHD display? I don't see iPhone users complaining about their FHD display.

I would take that awesome battery life over QHD display any day.

Zing Gadget also said that the Mate 8 will be cheaper than the Mate S when it launches in here.

Seriously I don't see any problem at all with the 1080p display vs the 2k on my other V10 n Nexus 6P
You need to view yourself to have a better judgement

I prefer pay premium price with QHD display. I can buy lower price FHD display device like Xiaomi, Asus and midrange samsung.

Why i need to pay more for FHD display device? it is not about user experience, it is about how much you need to pay for one device.

If that's the case, then no one would buy iPhones from u.

And you'll be surprised to see that how many people have paid premium price for FHD devices like Xperia Z5, R7 Plus, iPhone 6S+.

nah, it is not effecting my Iphone sale. i'm selling for Apple Fanboy only that dont really care about the specification and dont really care about android.

As android fan and not a fanboy on single brand, i really care about the hardware and money that phone maker offer. icon_rolleyes.gif

All above is my opinion. let say this device selling around rm3k. if compare with another QHD device, is it worth to buy? with 6" display, u can see clear the different between FHD and QHD.

if QHD is your main concern, i guess its not worth it.

Most people are attracted to this phone cuz of its battery life/capacity >> like me who never touched Huawei phones before. Others are bonus.

I would prefer if my Nexus 6 have FHD display for better battery life.

Battery life? Samsung note 5 proved that samsung dont need bigger battery for better batery life. Note 5 have 3000mah battery with QHD display, the SOT average around 4-5hours. 4-5hours SOT already good for normal user.

OnePlus One with 3200mah and FHD have same SOT 4-5hours. Not signficant better battery life compare with Note 5.

So it depend what chip they use and how they optimize their software.

You can't compare note5's exynos 7420 which was on 14nm process vs one plus one which is s801 with 28nm process. That is already an unfair fight.

Mate8's kirin 950 is on 16nm process and definitely will be more efficient. Coupled with FHD screen, the mate8 battery life is actually better than Note5. Users claimed to get 7hours SOT.

Remember, Mate 8 can get up to 7-8 hours of SOT with average usage. It shows how good is Huawei's optimization. Plus, Kirin 950 is also a power efficient chipset.

For example, the old Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro with Snapdragon 801 and 4000mAh battery can't even get to that level of battery life.

Back at my first post, QHD is my choice if i want to pay premium price.

well 4-5hours SOT might not be enough for you but not for everyone who uses phone heavily. Mate8 emphasizes on battery life. Some might think huawei cutting cost for not using QHD screen but FHD on 6inch screen is actually sufficient and the PPI is not really low to begin with.

The reason you see that the note5 screen more awesome is due to the amoled display being used instead of LCD. Amoled colors tend to be more vibrant.

If you wana pay premium price why settle for QHD? go for 4k rolleyes.gif

Not sure where is the extra 20min extra, it's 20hours extra bro, almost an additional 1day standby

Talktime both scores about the same, but the web browsing really tells the whole story. Web display tends to use more white display hence the amoled usually suffer at this point. With the QHD display on the note 5, each of the pixels need to be lighted up to display white. There are more than 1.5 times the pixels to display in QHD than FHD.

Another point is that not all SOC are able to get decent performance out of QHD especially in gaming etc, so my guess still stands to the point that FHD is actually balanced for current gen phones. Anything more than that requires more powerful gpu to match with QHD screens.
