OMG... ive always been calling this cooler GEMINI II... so stupid!!


today i just realise when i saw on the box properly it said GeminII...
i tght i kena tipu wit some china imitation or sumthin!!

im using m gemni-II now...

my proc is AMD AM2 X2 3600+ (windsor)

currently idle temp is 37 celcius...

is dat orite or i silap pasang???

"silap pasang ke?" refers to whether the installation process done accordingly or not ...

this includes cleaning the CPU IHS surface with alcohol and quality thermal paste was applied during the process. Lastly the HS is seat on the CPU die nicely without having insufficient or excess of thermal paste applied..

All three or probably more criteria would effect the performance of the heat sink ...

4th criteria is the fan that used ,,, does it has sufficient airflow to match with the heat sink ...

i read in internet...

c2d use gemin2 also has 30+ celcius..

so i tot mine is amd....

sure its hot...

20+ celcius!? LOL.. 29~30 might be acceptable if your area is cold enough.

Your temperature should hit around the range of 35celcius on idle.
Depending on processor though.


However, for the GeminII, mouting is important. Improper mouting will lead to very bad temperature readings. Self experimented it myself. Do tighten the screws enough so the cooler is not lose or moves around.

20C? can the CPU temperature go below the room temperature?? Msia room temperature is around 23~25 right? correct me if i'm wrong....

how bout idle temp for e66 vcore set at 1.48v idle & full load?

any roughly or exact temp here?

mine aaa idle at 21c ony lol....if no ocing done...if oc 36c....

last time my x2 3800 windsor with tt big typhoon idle at 17 2k rpm in the morning

24~27 normal usage 0.6~1k rpm

idle at 17 ??? lower then the ambient...... even my HR-01 also cannot performe that, false reading izzit ?

by the way it's rather impossible to be lower then ambient

dunno read it at bios~at pc health status that 17 celcius
cuz just want test the tt big typoon vx speed controller function
previous user( i buy 2nd hand mobo,proc) said in aircond room manage to get 8~9 celcius

btw 775 user got weight problem cuz no back plate?

actually this GeminII is not so suitable for LGA775. I've used that for my LGA775 Prescott 3.0G Pentium 4 Processor at my ASUS P5P800....Used 2 120mm Fan with 98 CFM the temp at idle for my CPU is at 49-52C with Artic Silver 5 paste = its same temp as my stock fan temp.......Sighhh...wat a waste i change to this heatsink..i thought would be better..

there must be something wrong with ur heatsink contact with the processor.
ever try reapply the heatsink? who know u make some mistake during the installation.

gemin2 should beat stock heatsink by miles, just that its too big which holding me from getting one

HMm issit? who have this LGA775 Prescott Installed with this geminII??? mind to tell your CPU Temp.see whether i fix incorrectly?but suppose everything is alright cos i took out and redo everything again still the same temp.MInd anyone to share ur temp for LGA775 using this GEMINII

HMm maybe i should look for more than 150CFM 12MM fan to cool it down...i bought the 98++ CFM ...silent one only ah but that speed already reach 2700RPM...sighh...bought the wrong wan...should go find one higher wan..next time no need to care silent or not ohh....also no use buy silent fan now = stock fan temp...

You're just thinking of getting that cooler. I'm about to buy it today But somehow I have doubts, so decided not to. Better get common high end cooler with great reviews about it
