Raining time then accident/lose control, then only want to kan cheong change tyres laugh.gif

For me, 195/50/15 Parada Spec 2 = soft sidewalls lah. Even at 38psi.

Loved the 185/55/15 PP2 hard sidewalls and sharp shoulder blocks (like "L" only).. but tramlining more noticeable for PP2 as compared to parada spec 2

not to mention, it's better to change all 4 tyres together, most drivers only change 2 tyres, if change 2 tyres the new tyres should be place at the rear for more traction, but many ppl dont do that, last time my father and my aunty also argue with me, so i dont bother them and convince only my mother to change 4 tyres together icon_rolleyes.gif

38psi? overinflate the tyre to make sidewall harder is wrong. blink.gif

overinflate too much, that means the contact patch between road is less hence less traction...cannot even sapu Corner, less grip..skid like mad.. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

well hard tires does save more fuel... but also very bumpy... and not to say... sometime it may burst...
coz very pressure... they have spec.... careful...

mostly la... my cars... 34PSI front... 32PSI back... Michelin recommend ppl to add 2~4 PSI...
because of the tires will get hot after you drive a distance to the shop or petrol station...

but for PP2 i don recommend that hard... 34 PSI is the max...

our tyres also have "longkang" lar laugh.gif

tyres wont burst as long as u r not running on re-thread tyres, if the psi in ur tyres doesn't over the maximum psi supported by the tyres then is ok lar, my Ze912 can support up to 50psi, so i just pump 33psi in front, i think the max psi it goes up to is about 40psi only.

when the tire is hot as per Michelin info it is around 4~6 PSI more...
no worries... if you did not over that

Hi guys... I'm consider to change all tyre for my car myvi as the tread almost gone (2 year plus with distance driving around 42500km).
Currently my car is using NCT5 (175/65R14) and I decide to keep the stock rim with new tyre.
After read through the post, most people recommend to use Falken ZE912 (185/60R14) as it quiet, value of money, not much different on fuel consumption, etc.

icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif
My questions are:
- Other than get the tyre from Hin Leong (Klang - too far for me) or Hup Soon (SS3/Sunway), is there any place where I can get it from? (p/s: I'm from Batu Caves area)
- How do I know I get the latest batch of new tyre - Falken ZE912? I heard something like 3908 or 0309?
- Hup Soon offer me rm600 for four tyres, is it reasonble price? (not sure including alignment or balancing)
- If ask them pump nitrogen gas, will this be extra charge?
- (Out of topic) Is it worth to get wheel lug nut from them for rm100?

1 tire shop at Gombak area..

Perniagaan Ching
NO 55 BATU 4 1/4, JALAN GOMBAK
03-40225305,
03-40228359

pertaining to ur question on 3908 / 0309.... i dunno really got new batch on 0309...
just for ur information i.e. 3908 means that tire manufacturing week 39 for year 2008... so first number is week and second no is year..

Nitrogen gas - normally they will quote RM10... but forgot for 1 or for 4 tire... never pumping nitrogen...

RM10 is too expensive, normally they only charge 4-5 per tyres

yes normally they charge 4~5 per tyres...

hmm you must know quiet does not means good wet condition tracking...
you have to compensate with some of the Pro and Cons of the tyre...

Look at the ranking of the all season passanger tyres

but never use NCT5 any more... scary... shakehead.gif
it wet condition performance sucks... remember not to drive fast when you are low on thread...
