They will take all original documents and will be returned when you get your visa.

Sorry for posting twice in a row but when you guys applied for your visa, did they return your TB certificate on the day of your appointment or did they return it when you got your visa? Because both me and my friend didn’t get our original ones back. 🤔

I didn't receive back my Tb cert 5 years ago,

For my current visa I didn't apply with Tb cert. Although I did receive back all other document I submitted

For me, they returned all of my documents, including the TB cert. I believe they only want to see that you have done the necessary procedures and they can just make a copy for their own reference and to return the originals to you.

I gave them the document checklist I printed out and they let me tick it and sign it on the spot. I only submitted the following documents:

-Current and previous passport
-TB medical certificate (both the original and a photocopy)

I also gave them the payment receipt for the vfs premium lounge and courier services.

I let them have a look at the payment receipts I had for my visa application payment and IHS surcharge payment, as well as the printed version of my application form. They told me those were for my own reference though and that I didn't have to submit them.

Also since I opted for courier delivery for my passport, they let me fill in the courier slip and they gave me the receipt with a tracking number after I submitted my biometrics.

Basically I only submitted the mandatory documents and I didn't submit the optional ones like my financial evidence and academic certificates, since I didn't want to complicate things. I do have all of them with me though in case they want them later on.

Have you booked your flight or wait until you receive the visa?

Don't worry too much about the visa application. 99% of almost all applications gets approved. Unless you aren't a prospective student😅, you'll likely get it within 2 weeks

Book in advance. That's what I always do if I come back to renew my visa.

I book from agents at times so that I can get the luggages x2.

New changes to the immigration rules:

https://www.out-law.com/en/articles/2018/ju...ules-july-2018/

Nothing much for T4, but for those going from T4 to T2, they put the docs/nurses into separate COS so free up others to take up. The COS limit was hit to the brim every month starting from DEC, 2017.

Not necessarily....the unrestricted cos is also limited and NHS employers will hit their ceiling....unless they can quickly get new allocation....

I went to my submission of my tier 4 visa on 6.8.18.
So far I have not recieved any email and I opt for courier service.

I did my application in Singapore cause im currently working there now.

Is it a norm to recieve an email on the day you submit your application?

Normally, yes. But then again, even if they late also they should not take so many days to acknowledge your application. Did you apply for premium service?

If you went to the VFS office to apply for the visa. I suggest checking here to find ways to track your application. Be warned that they usually will reply quite slowly on such issues

Hi! I submitted my biometrics on 7/8/2018 and I also opted for courier service. I didn’t receive an email yet but I did receive an SMS two days later stating that my application had been forwarded to UKVI, since I bought the SMS service too.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I didn't opt for the priority service. I just recieved a call and email saying that the passport will be delivered to me tomorrow. That means it only takes me about a week for my visa to be approved or being rejected. I'll update u guys when i get my passport back!

That's fast ...All in just a week plus to get the visa .

My son just got his result today , but need to wait for the CAS before he can apply . Semester starts on 23/9 . I wonder whether we need to go for the premium express application ?

I wouldn't opt for premium service in your scenario.
