In KL? You may consult my personal trusted workshop. Kindly contact Michelle Yee Maxis2 - 3IIO4II. The last time I did for Savvy was RM300+, Iswara RM250, Wira RM380, FLX RM440. Since GST imposed and RM deficit, price may be different abit. Do not hesitate to mention David the insurance company manager introduction. Do not worry as I do not take any commission nor anyway affiliate with the shop. So, whatever price you've managed to negotiate with her, is entirely between you and the shop. Meanwhile, they also offer solution of PATCHING depending on the damage. If not too severe, they'll try to salvage the windscreen without pocking a hole in your pocket for the windscreen replacement. Good luck.

how to check engine oil temperature?

OBD2 reader. I'm using a bluetooth one.

I'm sorry but as far as I know, we can't read oil temperature from an OBD2 reader as our gaga does not have an oil temp sensor and to be able to read oil temp from oil temp meter, we will need to get an oil temp sensor (or sometimes it comes together with the oil temp meter).

Could you have mistakenly referred to water temp instead?

Or could you share the exact ODB2 unit and the software/app you're using ?

Yes in order to read oil temp you need to install aftermarket gauge and adapter plate. OBD2 will get oil temp reading only if the car got oil temp sensor already.

Here's how I wired up my oil temp gauge very factory fitted look. being a picky person, I don't want to have a gauge sticking out of the dash like a sore thumb. It will make the dash looks very weird and not tidy looking.

Joe, what oil temp meter are you using ? How much is the adapter and meter ? Can you fix for me ? blush.gif

Btw you place the meter in your aircond outlet ? So you driver side got no air ?

I'm using a WORKS Pro 2 gauge. Adapter depends on what type you want to use. I'm using a MOROSO oil adapter. 1 type has inlet outlet for oil cooler another type is just for sensor. If you have future plans to put in oil cooler just get a oil adapter with oil cooler in/out but block them temporary until you install an oil cooler in the future but remember if put oil cooler for campro the oil pump gear need to be upgraded 1st. installing the oil temp gauge requires you to remove the oil filter so you better do it during oil change. you can buy the parts yourself and install it during oil change. I would like to help but I really can't free out some time at this period.... notworthy.gif

I block the AC vent with 5mm insulation tape use for AC one. so it redirects the AC to other outlet. Yeah my driver side no AC but didn't bother about it because once you block your driver side AC the other vents AC will be stronger.

Joe, can point me to where can I get the meter and adapter ? Seremban area would be better as nearer. I guess I'll go with the sensor type only.

There's another type with oil pressure sensor right ? But I guess I won't utilize the pressure part at all as my yinginn is pure stock... tongue.gif

you can ask them plug a tool to your battery terminal to check the voltage, around 12V
